Nokkta Impact

would be just fine if they continue with the excellent examples they have been providing us.

can we also hoped a display X Y (ferrosité / conductivity)
I wouldn't care for that, and haven't found it to be all that functional for the types of sites I hunt where friends who use those types of detector designs have 'tried' to hunt with me.

The Nokta and Makro detectors have been very reliable performers as they have been coming along, and I am certain that when they get to the point of circulating the Impact prototypes for review and finalize the production unit, the finished version will provide ample and very functional settings and behavior ... all without a Ferrous/Conductive split display.

Please.... make it compatible with concentric coils...

Any preferred size for an optional concentric coil?
For several decades no I have generally had better success for both Coin & Jewelry Hunting as well as Relic Hunting, using smaller-size Concentric coils over Double-D designs.

I have used many detectors from most makers that came with a Concentric coil and I tried a DD and didn't care for the resulting performance most of the time. For a long, long time I really haven't cared to own or use a DD coil .... UNTIL I got the Nokta FORS CoRe Pro-Pack in hand and worked it against my detectors I had at the time (January of 2015) and then the original Makro Racer the following month.

I have NEVER seen such impressive performance from the assortment of DD coils on the various FORS series and Racer series models as I have. It has actually be a very 'pleasurable experience' using the various models with their DD coils, most especially the smaller 'OOR' and 5½" DD's in the very iron littered sites I prefer to Relic Hunt. But I have experienced very satisfying performance with the 5½X10 Concentric coil on the Nokta FORS Gold Plus as well as switching it over to use occasionally on the FORS Relic prototype model. I kind of like to keep that coil on my FORS Gold + most of the time, so far, and now I want to get the 5½X10 Concentric for a production FORS Relic and also would like a 5½X10 Concentric for the Makro Gold Racer.

Then, what I would like to see, would be the 5½" round coil (called a 5" but it measures almost 5½ with the thin coil cover mounted) done in a Concentric design for the 14 kHz Racer/Racer 2, and one that size for the Gold Racer, and naturally one for the 19 kHz FORS models. Then, make a 5½" Concentric and 5½X10 Concentric for the future Nokta Impact.

Personally, I haven't a need for a larger-size Concentric coil than the 5½" and 5½X10 housings as the 7X11 or 13X15 DD coils handle open area/sparse-target sites very well..

Would love to read about the testing of both coils.

From what I have experienced with the Racer 2 and 5.5x10 DD coils ability for iron hunting, and based on my experience with a few other "fast response" type detectors equipped with a 6" or 5.75" (without cover)concentric ability to ferret coins out of iron I see no need to go any smaller. I have no plans to buy the OOR or new 5" round DD for my Racer 2. I don't feel I need or would use a DD coil of that size. Now if I were after nuggets in bedrock crevices sure, but for coin hunting they don't float my boat.

Tom that is how I think also.. The racer already has an ability that most other Detectors don't have and that's finding non ferrous items in ferrous junk.. The 5.5x10 coil is a great all purpose coil and make the detector balance as good or better than any other...its almost as deep as stock coil and separates better..

I have used the 5" coil just a few times and it has to be killer iron but 99% of the time I use the 5x10 would like to use the bigger coil but it is not balanced..

I would like a 5x10 for starters for relic hunting

5.5" or 6" round please.

thanks

The jury has reached a verdict I can live with.. 5.75"

We all know this is something that is probably difficult, but it would be fantastic if Nokta could create a coil like the old Bigfoot coils for the Whites machines. They must be hard to design and manufacture since no one seems to be able to produce them.

My favorite all around coil on the Nokta Fors Core Pro Pack was the stock coil. In urban park settings, the 5 inch OOR coil was hard to beat with a 5x10 filtering right behind it.

I have used the 13x15 coil in open field relic hunting, but the weight and balance kept me from using it for any length of time

Very much agreed! Yes, Nokta, please incorporate a red lighting for night hunters!

Oh, don't forget the RED back light for us night hunters.

YES YES YES..... the backlight on the Racer, while much appreciated, can be simply blinding, even when set at the lowest setting.

IF you used an adjustable RED LED BACKLIGHT it would have much better visability when night hunting!

Money to be made with the production of the BIGFOOT coil IMHO. I know you are asking for concentric, but... look at what people are willing to pay for a USED Bigfoot coil! I think that very coil would sell like hot cakes!
Once the mold&design are developed, Nokta/Makro could mass produce the unit and make it available for some of the other models as well. (Sort of a standard case with different wiring configurations for each model.) I would definitely support them in buying one. I currently have the Racer 2, but I would convert if the BIGFOOT style were only offered with Impact. Truth be told, I will probably end up buying an Impact at some point anyway. I would obviously like to see that coil made for the Racer series at the moment, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Ronhob, I totally agree. The Bigfoot coil still has a dedicated cult of followers. That would be truly amazing if the engineers at Nokta & Makro could develop such a coil for these amazing detectors!

I think if they can make it work they will make one, would like to see a couple of sizes for different hunting but it would have to be deep also? Would make other hunter want a machine that offered that type of coil....Great sales and happy hunters

even the 4 pin Tesoro csc which they don't make any more is super hard to find and does work well for shallow hunting. on big areas.

I would like to see Nokta make one also. tricky coil though I think to make, but sure they are up for the challenge

I also would love it if the Bigfoot coil was made available. To be clear Whites didn't produce the Bigfoot coil.....Jimmy Sierra sold the Bigfoot coil. This coil was produced by master engineer Mr. Karbowsky (passed away in 2007)....company name Applied Creativity. Whites might (???) have the Rights to all production info, but would cost too much to produce. Each coil was handmade "for" Whites. I have to wonder if engineers purposely hold some key info in their heads...having no paper trail. The secrets of the Trade..mmmm

Quite disappointing that the Racer2 has the same white backlighting as the Racer1. Although it's adjustable, the dimmest setting really isn't that dim, it has a blinding affect when night hunting, red would not.
