lytle78 said:I was looking up some old posts by a guy whose opinions I value when I ran across this - it pretty much sums up Tesoro's record on predicting when new detectors will appear. It's the first post on page 2 in the thread. Note the date. The thread starts on page 1 any you can go back ti read it all if you loke. I just thought Mike H's post summed thigs up.

Rainyday101 said:You whiners amaze me. I personally apologize for Tesoro if they are not meeting YOUR personal timeline. How dare they inconvenience you! Quit your whining and go by the other brand, go detecting, and be quiet! Really all you whiners do is complain and start rumors. Do us all a favor and move on! Go back to the forum you came from and whine that your other favorite manufacturer hasn't made anything new that suits your needs.
If you go to that other forum, Treasure something or other you will see in the Tesoro section the same trouble causer started the same thread to stir things up. On page 1 of that thread Dave Johnson (woof) responds with how long it takes to get a detector or even a change into production. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/tesoro/436634-cazador-never-meant.html. See that link for the details. Until you read this from somebody who forgot more than you whiners know, Quit whining!
Instead of speculating and spreading harmful rumors why don't you get off your butt, pick up the phone, and call Tesoro for yourself instead of posting BS on the situation here. Post some facts for a change!
TesoroMD said:So I'm not on for a couple of months, and this is what happens. Sheesh! Ok, fellow hunters, its update time. Cazador, Cazador, Cazador, nope, saying it three times doesn't build it any quicker either, but I thought I'd try. This design IS real. It IS happening, and it IS the largest undertaking this company has ever seen. Now you guys and gals out there know that I can't divulge any real details, but we are still on track with NEW stuff going into this project. We are working very diligently getting this off the ground so to speak. So it's here I wanted to remind everybody of what we and ONLY we do here at Tesoro.
1. Real service. This means a human being talks to you well you call.
2. Warranty no one else can offer. Lifetime means lifetime.
3. Durability. It's amazing to see the original Inca and Cortes come back for just a tuning - from 1984.
4. Ease of use / simplicity. No 30 min class required. Stick to simple and fun.
5. Competitive pricing. You don't have to make payments like your car or mortgage to own one.
With these kinds of principles backing our products, we don't strive to turn out five million machines a year or produce them in Asia for pennies on the dollar for the massive profit margin. We are still building right here in the USA, and are not selling out. WE want to offer the best product we can at the most reasonable price for that product. This takes time. It always has. Please stay with us and be patient, it's coming.

I guess my point is instead of all this speculation, why not just call Tesoro and ask for yourself? That would really alleviate a lot of rumors. I do get offensive when you bash Tesoro as a company, say they are in financial trouble, don't have the ability, etc. when you have no facts to back it. Now if don't like a particular Tesoro detector, so be it, that's fine. To bash the company and their abilities on pure speculation, that's another thing.
So..... If I ticked you off, sorry. I can say though that when speculation is raised about a company, next time make a phone call and get the facts. I don't mean to sound like a smarta__, but I would never bash a companies reputation without facts, especially when that can have a negative impact on that company. This isn't the first time this has happened with Tesoro. The last time it was they were going out of business, and yes a lot of people jumped in with no facts and fueled the fire. I gave Tesoro a phone call, directed them to the forum post and they put that fable to rest.
And not it's not Stalin's Russia on here circa 1930. Good one.
