Starting to hear that the Cazador is a no go.

Took a perk to calm my nagging toothache so I could get some sleep.
Had some wild dreams. After reading all these posts just before bed, Caz thoughts must have lingered in my brain.
I received a package in the mail, upon opening it from Tesoro inside was packed a Cazooka to compete with the Russian AKA Berkut I have.
Well this Cazooka blasts beautiful round divets into the ground after locating a good target and pops the target out of the hole and lays it on the surface for easy picking.
This was great, no wrist, elbow pain, since there was no digging.
Only one problem, looked back at the park where all the targets I dug, the ground looked like a 100 woodchuck holes.

I don't believe anyone was "threatening" to buy from another company Rainyday. I just know that detector money burns a hole in the pocket and some could be tempted to go in other directions. Especially around tax time because you want to get a detector before something else comes up and leaves you with no extra cash.

These are big boys (and girls) toys. I moved on to another toy - a new camera. I'll just be happy with my Outlaw.

Your little buddy could use some whitening strips .:heh:

I hesitated clicking the mouse.
I wasn't to far off since it is still rodent like.

Funny post!

they have put themselves in a very awkward position.

all this time/talk about a new model, then they post 'still not ready'...

when / if new model(s) release, they will have been SO anticipated by some--- it will be hard not to be dissapointed after so much 'build up'.

PR fail; for sure.

They should of called it.. FANTASMA.

Why all these Minelab and Whites users give a flip on when and if the Cazador will be released is beyond me unless they're not happy with what they have now.

It must be really boring and sad over in those forums. The Tesoro forum is usually a happy place until they show up and start posting.

Somebody posted just recently that the Minelab forums aren't a very friendly place to post. I got that same feeling back when I owned a 305 and 505.

I am a big fan of Whites and Tesoro detectors- I don't really care for the others. I am anxiously waiting to see what the new Tesoro will be like. There is lack of communication in the Tesoro department. Whites has their own dedicated chat forum and they post the news of the day on their site so its easier to be in the know over there.

 I agree with hanibal 31,,,,,,,,Whites and Tesoro are the best right now. I really don't care for any of the others either. Only time will tell which company will pull out up front. I hope it's Tesoro.

So I'm not on for a couple of months, and this is what happens. Sheesh! Ok, fellow hunters, its update time. Cazador, Cazador, Cazador, nope, saying it three times doesn't build it any quicker either, but I thought I'd try. This design IS real. It IS happening, and it IS the largest undertaking this company has ever seen. Now you guys and gals out there know that I can't divulge any real details, but we are still on track with NEW stuff going into this project. We are working very diligently getting this off the ground so to speak. So it's here I wanted to remind everybody of what we and ONLY we do here at Tesoro.

1. Real service. This means a human being talks to you well you call.
2. Warranty no one else can offer. Lifetime means lifetime.
3. Durability. It's amazing to see the original Inca and Cortes come back for just a tuning - from 1984.
4. Ease of use / simplicity. No 30 min class required. Stick to simple and fun.
5. Competitive pricing. You don't have to make payments like your car or mortgage to own one.

With these kinds of principles backing our products, we don't strive to turn out five million machines a year or produce them in Asia for pennies on the dollar for the massive profit margin. We are still building right here in the USA, and are not selling out. WE want to offer the best product we can at the most reasonable price for that product. This takes time. It always has. Please stay with us and be patient, it's coming.

Nathan Jaeger

Good info, thanks for sharing.

About time for a little positive talk to go compete with all the gloomy guss guys.

First - Have patients!
Second, Nathan, Tesoro's official on this site, states click here the project is well under way.

I never had a doubt, if Tesoro says they are going to do something you can count on it. Good products, good people, good customer support.

From what i understand about findmall rules, a member can post to any forum they desire as long as it is within the findmall forum rules. So! I don't think it is any of your business as to what i or any other user member post.. I have owned tesoros and like them. I can say whatever i want. i don't think you are the Tesoro police, so if you don't like what i post then don't worry about what i post. Just go back down in your moms basement and play with your compadre.

Wow this is heated....unlike the weather here in new Hampshire...I'm glad Tesoro has checked in with us all. Better late then never....Tesoro you guys need to jack up on your fb page...social media is big and a great place to shine....thanks again....JJ digs

Ouch - some folks are upset.

It's a tough world out htere if you get personal about everything.

Tesoro's mainproblem is that their products:

Work pretty much firever

Are repaired cheaply or free if you send them to Prescott

They have been slow to introduce new machines and new distribution channels as things changed.

Whatever the Cazador is - if it ever appears, it will change nothing.

Put Compadres in a flashier wrap, mass market it everywhere and let the rest go. Just a thought.
