Starting to hear that the Cazador is a no go.

Tesoro has good reason not to be disclosing their business plans. If some of you want a business to run, start one. Tesoro doesn't owe anyone anything except a good product and excellent customer service. That they do. Discussing business plans with a bunch of yahoos on the internet should never be done. If some of you Whites and Minelab users what to whine about something, start with trying to see if you can get those two companies to make detectors that are light weight and well balanced. When you find out something from those companies when it's going to happen, let me know, then I'll give you something else to whine about.

Tab man you are so brainwashed and blinded by Tesoro. They could take a dump on your front porch and you would find a way to justify it. If you are seriously trying to defend their lack of communication with their consumers then I really don't know what to say. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to stay in contact even minimally with your customers.

I care what you have to say or think. I've tried a lot of different detectors and I find Tesoro detectors to be superb. If you don't like Tesoro detectors or the way they run their business, move on down the road. It's that simple!:)

And many people have done just that. Could explain their current situation. I like Tesoro but I'm not oblivious to the problems which you appear to be.

GeeWhizzzz. This is getting crazy you guys. I just sent an email to Tesoro to get in here to get this mess fixed.
I dont care about that new detector. I love the ones I have.
Please everyone, calm down. I enjoy everyone of you. I just dont like all this crap because of a detector.
Lets just get back to having fun and helping eachother.... KEN

You still here? A lot of customers left other metal detectors companies to buy Tesoro detectors...............so are they in trouble?

I'm not oblivious to anything and know a lot more than I can say.

So I'm not on for a couple of months, and this is what happens. Sheesh! Ok, fellow hunters, its update time. Cazador, Cazador, Cazador, nope, saying it three times doesn't build it any quicker either, but I thought I'd try. This design IS real. It IS happening, and it IS the largest undertaking this company has ever seen. Now you guys and gals out there know that I can't divulge any real details, but we are still on track with NEW stuff going into this project. We are working very diligently getting this off the ground so to speak. So it's here I wanted to remind everybody of what we and ONLY we do here at Tesoro.

1. Real service. This means a human being talks to you well you call.
2. Warranty no one else can offer. Lifetime means lifetime.
3. Durability. It's amazing to see the original Inca and Cortes come back for just a tuning - from 1984.
4. Ease of use / simplicity. No 30 min class required. Stick to simple and fun.
5. Competitive pricing. You don't have to make payments like your car or mortgage to own one.

With these kinds of principles backing our products, we don't strive to turn out five million machines a year or produce them in Asia for pennies on the dollar for the massive profit margin. We are still building right here in the USA, and are not selling out. WE want to offer the best product we can at the most reasonable price for that product. This takes time. It always has. Please stay with us and be patient, it's coming.

Nathan Jaeger

Good on you Nathan,

I felt bad when somebody had to finally call poor Rusty and put him on the spot!

One thing you forgot to mention. Tesoro has a wonderful woman who handles incoming calls and she has a lovely voice and is utterly charming! Please tell her I said so!

Thank you for your comments Nathan.
You have my support and I can't wait to see
what the Cazador will be like whenever that may be.
I will be waiting until then.

This whole mess could have been avoided by someone making a simple phone call to get the facts before spewing rumors out. I see they managed to do that on the other forum also.

And really, you guys threating to buy another brand if they don't hurry up and meet YOUR timeline- move on. My kids whine less than that.

Tesoro is a smaller company. They don't have the full engineering staff of the other big competitors. Given this they are not going to crank out a detector as fast the big ones. What impressive detectors have you seen from the big companies? Maybe I missed something because I haven't seen anything impressive from them.

Me, I'm fine with the Tesoro's I have and when things aren't fine enough, I'll buy another Tesoro. I like the small guys, the service and care they give, and outstanding products they produce.

Thanks for taking the time to speak out. I honestly want you guys to succeed with the Cazador.

Thanks

HH

.and went out and bought another machine. Not a big deal, you wanted something different and to use this year, you did it. I did it.
Does it mean we are grueling mad, ticked off waiting on the Caz. Probably not. Just impatient.....society these days wants it now, yesterday...LOL

Good chance your going to buy a Caz when they do come out, no matter what.
Probably sell the detector you bought anyways, since you really didn't mesh with it................

I will be waiting, I just want to own one more excellent Tesoro.

I don't believe anyone was "threatening" to buy from another company Rainyday. I just know that detector money burns a hole in the pocket and some could be tempted to go in other directions. Especially around tax time because you want to get a detector before something else comes up and leaves you with no extra cash.

I'm using my Cazador money for a trip to Cuba next month. Personally I'm happy to hear it's still a few months away. I'll have time to gather the funds again.

there, now everyone knows what is going on. hopefully all this stuff about it will stop. well for a month or so anyway for some.

Yep, I know what you mean on that money burning a hole in the pocket. This spring it was me and the Tejon. I guess on the threating we sometimes all read the same thing yet draw different conclusions, and I am fine with that. It's not even so much just this thread, it's been going on all summer. I guess when the money scorched a hole in my pocket I just focused on what was available at that time. The Caz wasn't even a thought for me because it wasn't available. I guess in the end you buy the best you can at the time with cash you have available. Realistically we could all spend our time waiting for the next big thing. For me the next big thing would probably be an asteroid hitting my house! I guess this thread was just starting to strike a nerve with me and I am sorry if I ticked you off.

I am sure the Caz is gonna be good, but it will be another VLF detector, which is a technology that has gone about as far as it's gonna go. Look at Fisher, Whites, etc., none of them have come up with the magic bullet. Actually I am glad they didn't, because that's all we need is another Diggers show or 1000 newbies with shovels in the park!

Speaking of Diggers those _______ (fill the blank as you see fit) were in my town taping a show last week. I was gonna take a day of work and go heckle them while they were here, but my wife said she would'nt bail me out!

WELL PUT and I'm glad this rumour has been put to rest.

I'm glad Nathan dropped in to give us an update on what is coming down the pipe from Tesoro. Like all Tesoro fans on the forum, I'm just as anxious to see and read some field tests about the new Cazador as anyone, but I give them credit for taking their time and getting it right the first time around.
I sure as hell don't want to spend money on something thrown together to get it into production and loaded with bugs. With winter weather coming soon, most of us who live in cold weather climates will be stuck inside wishing we were out swinging a coil and digging up treasures. So what if it takes a few more months for the Cazador to become a reality, we heard it straight from the horses mouth (sorry Nathan, no disrespect meant) that the Cazador is indeed in the works along with maybe some other new detectors for 2015. So for now, I will continue to swing my Tejon and Compadre and wait patiently as Tesoro works to get their new detectors on the market.............HH.
