General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

It would be my pleasure to hunt with you no matter what you looked like, or used to detect... I might sniker a little evey once in awhile if you wore what that guy had on..But I would get through it LOL :rofl:

Hey Elton think someone could write a book about all these funny stories,metal detecting people would by it.....looks like most of us got a good sense of humor lol......I even got my wife laughting about all this stuff.....good job guys keep it going........more stories.......hh.........Dan
 
Hey Elton----Put some deeep thought into this complicated/VERY hard to answer question before you answer.----If you had your "druthers"----which would you prefer a fella be attired in when going on a hunt with you---dirty long johns OR FULLY attired camo outfit??? (complete with shovel, of course)----I know, I know---that's a tuff one!----If the dirty long johns appears to "too disgusting", I guess we could make the allowance them to be washed up "a little"----if that would make a difference in your decision makeing answer to said question----Inquireing minds WANTA KNOW!! :shrug: :)
 
Let me think :confused:.......... The guy in park looked absolutely ridiculous... Thermos with rope tied to it Around his neck I swear..., vest with all kinds of pockets..filled to capacity with I don't know what..Shovel tied around his waist......:rofl: dragging behind him. Full Cameo outfit..with Ahab the Arab desert hat with flaps for bug/Sun blockage hanging front and back LOL.........Army type boots laced up ( Ranger type)....Digger on Lanyard belt..A plastic bottle in a sheath, HAHAHAHAHA My Goodness I'm laughing again..... You would have had to see it to really believe it Del................. Now the old man..Dirty Long Johns...........WELL, actually Filthy Long Johns......... Del I'm gonna plead the fifth on this one.. I'd in your words "Druther" neither one LOL...

Old man might get away looking like that.. A little addled you know. Feller I saw in the park that came to detect...No excuse my friend .......Just plain Nuts.. LOL:shrug:............... HAHAHA I know, I know I'm being picky LOL........ Del, would you have hunted with that guy in the Park looking like he did... ???
 
HE HE HE another story........ One morning 5 or 6 of us met up to go detecting. We didn't have a chosen sight yet.. One of the guys said he had a place to detect..Old farm site. with permission.Yea, Now were talking ..visions of large cents, Silver, V's, and maybe a seated came to mind...
This particular morning everyone had to leave at different times so we all drove...... Getting the picture:cam:............
Looked like a Caravan Hmmmm , could have used that desert hat LOL............ anyway we took off one following the other for miles...
Now the funny part.. We went down this road and passed a street on the left. Kept going about 5 miles turned left. Drove for another 5 6 miles and turned left..........2 miles later we turned again to the left..All six cars with "X" In the lead.........I saw a stop sign ahead and thought "Where is he taking us?"..
and as we pulled closer I realized it was the same road we originally went down and passed this road we are now on on the left. darned if he didn't turn left again and went back the same way.. ( All Six cars following).... when we got to the stop where we turned left I got out of the car..I said where you going we were just here 30 minutes ago and turned left then to..All six cars waiting in a row,, LOL....... He looked a little sheepish and said .."That was the only way I knew how to get to the site"............It's straight ahead ( No Left turn") this time about one mile up the road.... I said "X" you do know we were on this road once and turned left here and circled back around..he looked kinda dumb and said Yea I got a little lost.............. Follow me I know where it's at now..and sure enough 5 minutes up the road was an old farm.... POSTED NO TRESPASSING about every 10 feet........... We all stopped and got out along the road..and one of the other guys said..Did we go in a circle ?? And we all started to laugh at "X"....... That sucker got mad because we laughed..got in his truck and left us all sitting there....... we did not have permission to hunt..He had it...We were all so aggravated we went home early.. NO detecting.. He didn't come back to the group for about a month...........When he did. We didn't say a word..Sitting there he said..You guys want to go hunt that farm..LOL hahahahahhahah we just looked at him and said "NO" you might get lost again LOL ..We went to a Metro Park................and that big dummy went with us..
 
Thermos ?!? Nobody said nothin bout no thermos when I signed up for this. That's a deal breaker. I'm takin my backhoe, semi-auto pinpointer, night vision goggles and I'm goin home !
 
Leave the backhoe for a while Scott....We may take it to an up scale park............Elton another good one......A convoy of Treasure Hunters...hahahaha

Larry is probably burying, that hat that he wears. Maybe he will post a picture of it. I think he tried to give it away as a prize at a club hunt once, but no one would take it. (Hope he is in a good mood, when he reads this).

Well if you don't have a thermos tied around your neck,you may as well go home LOL... Cause you can't tect without it LOL

I got another beach one.........I was walking along swing the detector a lady almost hits me headon she is looking intensely at beach sand,......I'm not kidding here she looked seriously frustrated she had a small zip lock bag empty She then asked me.Pointing at the detector...Does that thing find sharks teeth, hahahahahahaha .
