I'm in the "Golden Corner" of Upstate, South Carolina. I have an Ace 350 which I really like. It's the best I could afford to start my hobby, and it's lived up to it's "standard". I hope one day to afford something a little more advanced, but I'm having almost too much fun now.
I was part owner and worked as a mechanic of a 24hr. Road Service for almost 20 years, retired from that in 1995. I've been a musician All my life.
My wife and I started a Gospel group called "Promised Land" in 1992. In 1995, I retired from the road service and we started singing/ministering full-time.
So far, it's been 21 years on the road with "Promised Land".... and still going strong. We sing all over the U.S. We've recorded and released 13 full-length recording projects since 1993.
Nice to meet Ya'll... I'm blessed to get to sometimes metal detect in the various states and places we sing. I only wish I could do it more. If your in or near South Carolina, holler at me.
Tommy

I thought that I'd posted here. Anyway, I work in a sheep abattoir. been there for 22 years. changing jobs in the new year. I had a few jobs before that in the country town that I currently reside, but they seemed to disappear after a short period. Just prior to moving to Dubbo. I used to be a postman around the Sydney CBD
Will be looking at part time work in the new year as well as look into setting up a new venture that will hopefully get me back to the coast again, not to mention, some real choice detecting spots.

At the ago of 9 started selling greeting cards door to door, to get my Mustang Fastback bike, a year later it arrived from the Junior sales club of America (the add in the back of almost every comic book back in the day), delivered newspapers, worked at car lots after school, bearing and power transmission specialist for quite a few years, 60 ton overhead crane operator (my favorite job ever), nights and weekends doing furniture refinishing for years (extra dollars), sold new and used cars in a small town for 6 years, 25 years having my own construction and renovation company, managed 6 commercial properties for 6 years, supervised Government construction jobs all over Ontario, currently I volunteer 3 days a week at a non profit organization called "The Real Deal" we sell just about anything that has been donated to the company
http://www.realaction.ca/realdeal.htm, check it out if you have a moment. I'm working my way to being a paid employee there, with having been off work for 2 years now, was waiting on the surgery I just had 3 weeks ago. I have a son that writes computer program (his own and sells it), my daughter is in banking. I love metal detecting, researching history and getting the facts, a very cool cat that thinks he owns me and try to play with classic cars a bit. Here's a couple that I have right now to work on. Cheers.

Now I work part time in a pawn shop. In fact, that's where I got my sweet Ace 250. An ex coworker moved up to an AT Pro and now I want one of those really bad! He's finding good stuff with it.
