@tabman,i am not disputing that Tesoro dont have the best warrenty in the detector world in terms of a lifetime warrenty, but as i mentioned and i quoted from the main Tesoro website the warrenty is not tranferable,as alot of Tesoro member on this forum have mentioned that they have just aquired a resonably new machine or just a few years old then the warrenty is totally void is it not,so basically if it goes wrong and you are the 2nd owner you will have to pay not only the postage both ways but also the cost of the original problem ???

Regarding after market service then once again i have no problems with Tesoro, but being based in the UK i had a slight problem with one of my machines it was only a very small problem and could have been rectified by myself with a item that they could have posted for a few dollars, but no it would have to be sent back to the US for them to do it,yes they do a service agent in the UK but once again postage was massaive compaired to the small item that was damaged.Bottom line it just was not worth it cost wise,i did it my self by buying the item from a local electrical store for a few pence.

I am not knocking Tesoro, but just highlighting a few points that folks seem to be missing, the lifetime warrenty is only good for the original owner and is not transferable, all the Tesoro machines are quality equipment and work better than much more expensive machines.Any detector has a possibilty of breaking down at sometime in its life, thats just the way electronic items are and Tesoro are no different so this is why when i buy a machine not only do a i buy a machine that suits my style of detecting but i also look at the wider package on offer including warrenty and service, and they are not totally bullit proof.

These are of course just my personal opinions,i am off out detecting as life is way too short and i just enjoy detecting.

Sorry? did I miss something?

Is the Cazador a real machine? Does anyone actually have one? It's not on Kellycos website for sale, not that that means anything, maybe its a proprietary unit, only distributed through secret back channels to only to a select few? Like Elvis, or Tupac?

Gosh, and here to think I was involved in that whole naming contest last Fall?!....Lets just call this thing the 'Abominable Snowman' since thats also a mythological creature of great strength and wonderment, reputed to be 'seen' by a few Mongolian monks hopped up on organically based mushroomic goofballs mixed with pulverized yak testes, passing a kidney stone in the spartan monastery granite seated crapper in 70mph winds and 50 below temps at 14k ft elevation in January! ...I get it, been there in a place like that myself a time or two....not with kidney stones mind you, or at 14k feet, or even the granite, but still, trying to utilize a plastic portacrapper on the beach in the dark after a heavy junk food gobbling tourist weekend is no picnic.

You Teeboys know I have the utmost respect for y'all, your capabilities and finds and all that, but c'mon! Can you imagine how hard I'd be busting Fishers clanks on a product roll out like this?...OK sure, from what I can tell, the "F19" is nothing but a damned old gold bug with some cool camo graphics, but at least its in production and for sale! And, it has a cool name like "F19" which is doubly more butch and marketable than 'cazador' for slitherens sake!

The way I see it is that if Tesoro says that they are coming out with a new detector, they will be coming out with a new detector. They did not put a date on when so we can't hold anything against them in that respect. I am a Tesoro dealer and know nothing more about the Cazador than anyone else does but have confiedence in them having another good detector when it does comes out. As I mentioned I know nothing more than anyone else about the Cazador but have a gut feeling that it will be a coin/jewlery detector with a display and have tones & will be afordable. Just my thoughts..

Mike Hillis has one, used it, still using g it and was given the ok to talk about it so the release date is very close.

I'd be tickled with a lower freq. version of the tejon for the serious coinshooter. I got my tejon back, my high tone vaq. with a sharpshooter so I'm good to go. If the caz is something that will fit in the ole arsenal then i'll get a newspaper route and pick one up. I would rather see Tesoro do what Tesoro does and not jump on the to high tech bandwagon. Their simplicity is what makes them appealing. jmo..

This very well could be. Back before the Outlaw came out I had one a couple weeks before they were released. I was the field tester, Tesoro asked me to take my time and use it and give my honest opinion of it both positive and negative. Kind of like the Cazador, there were posts about the Outlaw from forum members saying it was this going to be like this and it was going to be like that. I wanted to tell everyone that I had one and could of answered alot of questions but figured holding my tounge was the only thing to do until I was give the ok to start talking about it. I have had a feeling for awhile that someone might be testing the Cazador (actually I thought tabman would be the one) (good honest fella to do an evaluation in my opinion). So if this is true that Mike Hillis has one it should be released soon if he was given the ok to let anyone know he has one. I bet your inbox is going to be full soon Mike :poke::).

Isn't it the F19 that Mike was testing?

Yea, my mistake.
The F19....sorry about that.
I usually only read the Fisher and Tesoro forums and got mixed up.
Also I think I drink too much.

Sorry sorry sorry.
I rarely screw up...several years ago I thought I did but I was wrong.
This is one of those rare times...

Although I bet there is a Cazdore beta tester out there....maybe more than one.
Come out come out wherever you are!

You had my attention thats for sure. Now I have to go have a drink, lol.

Sounds like a "super compadre"

Hopefully Tesoro will live up to what was said in the little information I have seen. They promise it will be "different" from anything else. We will see I guess. In the meantime I am keeping my money in my pocket until we know.

You guys doin all this talking---got me wanting one!-----It must gonna be REALLY GOOD!-------When I asked the gal at Tesoro sometime ago if it was going to be released for the Spring/early summer market----she said "that's too early for us".-----So that's all I got & you can take it for what it's worth.-----This long wait is ok---patience is a great virtue & it's teaching us to have some of it!;)------WHERE IS THAT THING???? (shut up Del)

WOW!! I just posted a post to see what you primary Tesoro guys were hoping the new cazador would be,,,,figuring the answer would be "i would like to see this" or "i would like to see that". But it seems you guys are pretty excited about the upcoming Tesoro product. :) As far as answers to the actual post, i only got one answer from one guy who said, "i don't want it built on the high tech platform" "paraphrasing".....:) Good luck to all.

I'd like to see it have multi tone, have multi frequencies with a 3 way toggle switch for 4khz , 10khz , 18 kHz , have the abily to use or adapt to any tesoro coil and be water proof to 30 feet or so and be great in both salt and fresh water. It must have the ability to manual ground balance in both all metal and disk. Not sure if a display is needed and cost In the $500 range lol just wishing
