Thanks friends for your replys.

It would seem that we are touched by the same things and excited by the same things too.

We also all seem to share the same sense of humor.

Ain't it great!!!!!!!!!

Best to Ya all!

CJ

A great big wonderful smile and a heartfelt hug are enough reward for this old hunter!

Having an open ended invite to search the yard some more is nice too.

Life is good!!

On a blistering hot afternoon Tuesday the 18th of August I removed a warranty water heater from a customer

Having a blow out on a major highway in heavy traffic is always a dangerous situation, same with sitting on the side of the road where you are a sitting duck for being hit by someone not paying attention to what is going on around them. Thank goodness that everything turned out in your favor. Thanks for posting this story. Kelley (Texas) :)

Thanks for your replies Friends,

When these things happen one ends up with a changed outlook about a lot of things.

Had the timing of any of the events been only a little different it could have turned out badly.

As it was I had a story to share with anyone willing to listen.

Best to Ya all,

CJ

what a super description you made of one of the important things in life:thumbup:
Thank you for this!

the wonderful thing about putting it in words is that you get to share it and relive it again. Thanks for sharing it with us. I just noticed it

and see everything come alive. I also like to watch the Sun go down in the evenings. 55 degrees would be perfect jacket weather and the cup of coffee from the thermos would be a bonus. Very good story. Kelley (Texas) :)

A wonderful thing about watching a sunrise is that there are no two alike.

This AM I shared the wonderful experience with my baby sister from Nevada and her husband.

Just the right amount of cloud cover to allow you to watch without eye damage the entire miracle unfold.

In a few short days the sun will rise out of the water on the horizon and the view will be even more striking.

The water was calm with a very gentle swell occasionally desturbing the stillness.

Even though the moon phase kept the water from dropping as much as I would like, I decided to see what I might find with my Dual Field in the areas where the sand hasn't buried everything yet.

Four and a half hours of bobbing around as the swells lifted me in my dry suit and struggling to dig the few signals I did find resulted in a typical collection of sinkers, pop tops, odd bits of metal and bottle tops plus a few coins.

A couple of the coins may be silver, but I haven't chipped off the corrosion yet to find out.

In one place the sand wasn't too deep and I found the 14K wedding band (either a small man's or a woman's) only 10 feet or so from the water's edge and just before I gave up (about a 1/4 mile farther along the beach) due to rising water and being tired from hours of hard digging while struggling to stay afoot, I dug up the 1935 10K class ring maybe thirty feet out!!

I worked my way back to where I parked and called it a day tired, but thankful to be able to get out there and find something to brag about.

CJ.
