Then how about you call them and ask why they are "dragging their feet" on a new model? Or why they aren't coming out with any new technology? Go ahead, just call them and ask. And after you do, please post on this forum what they tell you.

I mean c'mon, if you are that concerned about Tesoro why complain about it and criticize about it on this forum? Just call them and complain to them in person how you feel. I believe most folks on here (including me) are about tired of hearing the same old complaints about Tesoro on here. Yeah, yeah,....we know....you and how many others want a new Tesoro product. We KNOW that already. Enough is enough and I'm sure MOST of us would rather see positive and informational posts on here that folks can use. Not negativity towards Tesoro, complaints toward Tesoro and criticism about Tesoro. We've heard this complaint a thousand times over now.....let's move on and get beyond it.....PLEASE!
 
I find your title a bit amusing......you obviously know from reading this forum that this topic has been covered MANY times over before, yet you start out your post topic as "sorry to whip a dead horse".......BUT....you went ahead and did it anyway. You were going to do it anyway....right? I guess my question is WHY? Since you already knew this topic has been covered many times over, why would you start it up all over again? My other question is, if you are so concerned about Tesoro not coming out with another "new" product, then why don't you call them up yourself and ask them? Really,....if one is THAT concerned, instead of complaining about it over and over again (and God knows we've heard it enough times) how about pick up the phone, call up the Gifford's and ask them?

If some feel that other companies are getting a bigger piece of the pie, who cares? I don't. I could care less about the other companies. If I wanted to try their product, I would. I choose not to. Others may choose to do so....good. Fine. Have fun. Enjoy. But to come on and read time and time again the same old complaint, criticisms, whining, crying....over and over again,....really it just gets old. And my last question is, does anyone really learn anything worthwhile from it? My guess would be no. I sure don't and by the looks of many of the responses on this particular posting, I'd be willing to bet others are just as tired of seeing these boring, speculative postings. Just pick up the phone and call Tesoro and ask them what, why, and when. Then when you get an answer, then post up here what your findings were. Now I'm sure THAT is more what folks here would want to know. Not speculation, just facts. And no better place to get the facts from then Tesoro themselves.

I have a legitimate question, with a legitimate comment. And have had very unprofessional service success from them. Now why dont YOU explain to me why you love them. If you know anything about sales, running a company, I would like to hear the reason why nothing has been posted, no calls that are successful, and no information, not a peep. And save the nonsense, "well I just like them" response. JUST BECAUSE I ASK A QUESTION of prfessionalism I AM A WHINER? I SHOULD GO BACK TO THE GARRETT FORUM? I DONT EVEN OWN A GARRETT!!! I'm tired of people not justifing, and just talking crap, because they dont hear what they want to. I have talked to a number of DEALERS, yes DEALERS who have not had a logical or as it matters any reason, or time frame or whatever is going on. Other than a connector problem. Thats the same excuse for a good year. I was very interested in a Sandshark, now not so much. And let me guess what your response is, well than dont buy one. Well that is exactly the wrong attitude to have, if YOU want to SELL your goods to a consumer. So come on, let me have it more that I'm whining etc, just because you dont agree, and dont hear what you want. Hows this, oh I love Tesoro no matter what! I just love them! I love them, I love them I love them!!!
 
Trust in this people, there isnt any business today that is not concerned with market share and sales penetration,with the rising costs of expenses, employees,health ins,labor rates,rising parts costs,business ins,heating and cooling,rent factors, equipment and so on and so on.In todays competitve world none of these companies want to lose any piece of the pie that they allready have, yes as individuals maybe we dont care or think about that but as an employee working for any of them or as a business owner you have to be concerned with increasing sales year over year to off set the rising costs each year of running your business..I wish continued success to all of them Tesoro...Whites....Garrett....First Texas Products{ Bounty Hunter,,,Fisher,,,Teknetics} and may all of You have continued success hunting with each of the products that you use...Markmac
 
:cool: Well I DID write Vince a letter. I asked him for some reassurance about the company before I switch brands and before I plan to invest over $1,000.00 in new Tesoro equipment. Can you guess what his response was?? ....DEADLY SILENCE!!!!!! I asked him about everything including the financial stability of Tesoro, the status on his brother, updating the website, etc.,etc. I even made it easy for him and gave him my email address and said, "Please respond at your convenience". I acknowledged that he was a "very busy man" also. This hobby is supposed to be a fraternity of detectorists and dealers who show mutual repect one to another. It's not like buying a lawnmower or washing machine. To quote some of you guys, "It's supposed to be fun". Well contacting the company should be "fun" too. Other companies have returned phone calls, email, and letters back to me. I don't see why Vince can't do that also. No. I am not "riding a dead horse". Just lookin for a break. Call him on the phone. I called once and spoke with James for about 15 minutes. He wasn't available when I called, but he returned my call a few minutes later and we had a nice chat.

One has to wonder about Tesoro and Detector Pro with Garretts AT Pro out. If the AT is what they say it is. These companies have there work cut out for them.

You sound more like a arrogant *** . . . . . The only sure thing in this world is death & taxes . . . . . . If I had a company and received a letter like this, I would blow off this person because it would be none of their business. . . . . Personal company business is private.

An jerks speculating on public forums under fake names about things they know absolutely nothing about, trying to stir up trouble don't help the hobby. They write or fabricate a specular title to get a little attention. Must be an Ego thing !

This hobby is about sharing & getting out with your MD"er (any brand) & having fun. If somebody needs help, give them an answer or point them in the right direction to get help. Sort of like a support group.

To the best of my knowledge, all the major US detector manufacturers are privately held.

Don't expect any privately held company to disclose their balance sheet or give their customers info on their financial health, that's not the way it works.

I will say the service I've received from Tesoro multiple times has always been great.
