It's always nice to hear about you, other then you swing an ACE, AT Pro, water machine , gold machine etc. Sometimes what you do or did for a living can be a real asset to some issues on the forum. And, it would just be interesting to see the broad spectrum of careers which may have triggered a desire to metal detect. :)

I am the maintenance supervisor for the Cook Housing and Redevelopment Authority. But I was already detecting when I was hired in May 2010. The winter previous to that I was unemployed and spending a lot of time surfing the 'net. I stumbled on an ad for metal detectors while visiting an Indian Artifacts forum. The rest is history in the making !

Been an RN for about 19 years. Prior to that I flew hot air balloons for a living for about 5 years, prior to that property management and prior to that an environmental education to hopefully become a conservation officer for wildlife protection, but as is sometimes the case, things don't always turn out as planned. I have a lovely (only) wife of 23 years marriage, 4 kids and 2 wild cats living under our patio.

Life's been good!

Last position was with JPMorgan Chase. Funding Dept. of Home Equity Lines in B2B channels. That crashed in 2007 and they moved us to Mortgage Correspondent division, buying mortgages from other banks to be bundled and sold to the Chinese HAHA. That job was sent to the Phillipines in 12/2008. Laid off and been unemployed ever since. However, grant money for over 40 displaced workers put me back in school full time. Going for Occupational Therapist, almost done. Glad to get out of mortgage banking. Not my favorite career, but wife, kids, mortgage etc. kept me from going back to school at that time.

Empty nester now with my wonderful wife and the freedom to pursue and finish my education. Looking forward to working in health care until retirement.
