Saw a refference to something called the MXSPORT. Any idea what it is?

Different coils (frequency and pin out) so an adapter is not an option . . . .

SOME Single FREQUENCY Detectors will WORK in SOME Saltwater Environments, but NOT with the P-R-O-F-I-C-I-E-N-C-Y of a MULTI-FREQUENCY Detector!! Therefore, I
PERSONALLY hope it's a MULTI-FREQENCY Waterproof Detector, that can SERIOUSLY C-O-M-P-E-T-E with EXCALIBURS and CZ-21's!! WHITES is LONG O-V-E-R-D-O for ONE!!

If you think that a $799.95 detector will beat a detector costing over $1,000 more you are not being realistic in terms of your expectations. The specs are clear on the MXSport and they are that it is a single frequency machine that has a salt track option on it for salt water beaches. Will it get the depth of a BBS / FBS or CZ machine? I doubt even White's will make that claim but if you are looking for a detector that is just as home on land as it is in the water, does a solid job in fresh water especially on smaller items that the Minelab units struggle with, can deal with black sand and salt water and costs under $800, not a lot of options out there that will fit your demands and the MXSport is one of them.

If you think that no other development is taking place in Sweet Home or where any detector is built, then there is another fallacy.

The MXSport builds on the two new Treasure detectors (Master and Pro) and shows the direction that White's is heading in. Designing a new platform, testing it and then rolling it out into production is not a 1 month project let alone trying to design multiple units at the same time.

2016 will be an interesting time in the detector industry and we will all benefit from what is coming down the road.

I for one D-O-N'T APPRECIATE It!! MY Post Reflected MY O-P-I-N-I-O-N on MY D-I-S-A-P-P-O-I-N-T-M-E-N-T in WHITES Electronics coming OUT with a Single Frequency WATER-
PROOF Detector, instead of a MUCH NEEDED G-O-O-D WATERPROOF MULTI-Frequency Detector, that MYSELF and several JERSEY SHORE Hunters have been ASKING and HOPING!! Also, there was NO Mention at the Time of MY Post about a $800 Price Tag, or ME making any Comments about ANY Price TAG!! Also, I for one have the
UTMOST R-E-S-P-E-C-T for WHITES ELECTRONICS, and have S-T-A-T-E-D SO Many TIMES in COMPARING WHITES ELECTRONICS Customer Service (BEST) to the W-O-R-S-T (MINELAB), and I have CLEARLY Stated So on the MINELAB SOV./EXCAL. Forum!! If YOU D-O-N'T Agree with MY Opinion, on MY Post, so BE IT!! But, YOU D-O-N'T have to
be SARCASTIC ABOUT It, because to ME, it B-E-L-I-T-T-L-E-S YOUR Standing as an ACCOMPLISHED AUTHOR in this HOBBY, and Someone who is WELL RESPECTED in the
HOBBY!! Also, taking (3) WEEKS to RESPOND to MY Post in a SARCASTIC MANNER, makes ME LOSE R-E-S-P-E-C-T for YOU, and Also makes YOU L-O-O-K like a SH#T STIRER in MY Opinion!! Les Robinson (VIETNAM VET) from Delaware.

P.S.: SHORTCUT, I DON'T know YOU, and DON'T want to KNOW YOU!! YOU strike ME as just an A## KISSER to Andy Sabisch.

Many people are not able to see the big picture. I personally know this man, having attended one of the classes he has taught and respect him. He is very busy, and helps as many as he can with multiple manufacturers of detectors. No sense getting your feeling all hurt because he may not have answered your inquiries by massaging your delicate ears. He has given some straight out common sense answers. Of course you are entitled to your opinions no matter how wrong I feel you are about that. The fact that you were in a specific skirmish at a specific time and you highlight it has no bearing on anything in this thread. This thread is about a new unit being released and most of us are excited to see how it preforms.

I don't understand the anger...can someone please explain?

Les

First appreciate your service being one that served during that time myself so again, thanks for what you gave to the country.

As far as your response, the message I posted was in response to your message was a follow-up to your post as well as other PM's that asked thew question. White's did not design a waterproof detector to compete with the units you referenced and in fact most buyers are looking for something that is not waterproof to 200', weighs less than what the units you mentioned did and can be used on land as well as in teh water with more versatility than they models you chose do. There is a reason the AT Pro sells as well as it does and no, it does not provide super performance on salt beaches other than Southern Florida. The target was the AT Pro market which includes those that hit salt beaches on vacation rather than serious beach hunters that visit few other sites. For that goal, it exceeded the initial design requirements.

Most manufacturers have tried to develop a multi-frequency unit that compared to the Minelab and Fisher circuits and the fact that there are none out there yet says that the challenge is more daunting than many think it is. Will there me other multi-frequency units coming, yes but what they are housed in and how they are marketed is still up in the air.

Sorry you see the response as being untimely and sarcastic. I for one do not live on the forums monitoring posts on an hourly basis. I wish there were another 10 hours in the day but that is not the case. As far as being sarcastic, your post was just one of many that were expecting something that was not coming at a price that was unrealistic (and yes, you did not have the price was not listed at the time you posted your message) and built for a market that was not what White's had targeted.

If you were insulted, then I offer my apology but at times the content of posts and simply reading printed words tends to have each reader see a different message.

The MXSport will provide performance that other units in THAT PRICE RANGE do not and serve as a foundation for future units that are under development to leverage . . . .

Andy

I just might have to try one. My last White's was an MXT. It was THE nickel finding machine! Now, if this new machine can find me dimes I'll be on my way.

Andy,

I already have a E-trac and F75LTD2. Would I be disappointed with a MX Sport? I am looking for a different tool in the toolbox will I be disappointed? I had a V3i and it did not live up to my expectation. I was hunting with a buddy and he was finding lots of stuff I missed and deeper with his E-trac and my V3i could not even get close to the performance of the E-trac.

At the Very least you will have a Waterproof Detector. I don't have one in my arsenal so it would Be nice to have if I want to do a Little water hunting sometime and the rest is gravy so to speak.

Not knowing anything about the engeenering of electronics....I wonder why multi freq machines are so expensive. I loved my whites vx3, the color screen was best in the biz in my opinion....thou the etrac just..... well I don't know....it was an etrac !

Andy,

I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to answer questions around the forum about this new detector. I know people like myself who are making decisions about what detector to buy find this info invaluable. I hope you don't get discouraged about posting on this forum, as without contributers such as yourself providing value this forum would not be what it is.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Andy,

I'm a dedicated beach hunter and was wondering if the MXSport is comparable, performance-wise, to a CZ21 or Excalibur (or even a Beach Hunter)? If not, will White's be making a dedicated beach machine in the near future (1 year or so)?

Even if the performance is close to a CZ or Excal, I'd consider it because those two are hard to swing underwater after 6 hours...I do all-day hunts sometimes 10 hours underwater and ergonomics is now a primary concern of mine.

Thanks Andy and have a good one!
