Question for all posters on this forum....

your not getting the whole picture examples: facial expressions, voice inflections etc...\All ya see is the type on the screen and some smiley faces...now go get a detector and get out there and hunt. I want to see some of the items you find posted on here!!
 
with "proof of ownership". I aint no duffus to hand over a ring just because a person says so. Even the police will side with you on that one.

what is proof of ownership? in my book 1) a detailed description of the ring and a filed police report of loss previous to the the annoucenment of the find 2) a picture of the owner wearing the ring 3) the owners initials on the ring 4) a bill of sale with detailed description

Now if you dont return a piece of jewelry and you know 100% who the owner is, that is stealing.
