Prayer Request

Well-known member
So awaiting results of biopsies of esophagus from endoscopy a week ago because I’ve been having pain and inability to have food pass down into stomach after swallowing. In pain and super undernourished making it hard to work and do normal activities ( still detecting for my sanity). All can be managed just hoping the lab doesn’t detect the dreaded “C” which even this is not beyond the healing power of the precious blood of Jesus. Praying hard as always and keeping cheerful and grateful. Prayer from friends can’t hurt either. God bless

The Prayer of Faith
Jas 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Prayers RM.
My #2 son has had inflamed bowls and stomach.
He was advised to try teaspoon of tumeric in a glass of warm water to knock down inflammation.
It's also a great cancer fighter.
Praying all goes well.

I will be praying often. Be sure to give us an update.
Thank you Mike. Doc says biopsy samples in a particular region mid esophagus had sporadic malignant cells , other sample regions had abnormal ( precancerous) cells and other suspected regions contained normal. Referred to oncologist and many tests to follow including repeat endoscopy and oncologist will likely refer to thoracic surgeon for possible/ probable resection of part of esophagus. A fairly big surgery and avg 8 day hospitalization- maybe a month out of work. Follow up treatments likely too. Premature but leaning towards earlier stage. Not happy news but my spirits through only my strong faith and trust in Jesus are excellent. Long road ahead but not traveling alone. Going about the business of living and working with joy in my heart. Thank you for the comments and especially your prayers.

That sound worthy of a try odanscoils. Being only able to take in liquids now for 2 weeks and counting, I’ve been having several ounces of raw honey a day. It’s also an anti inflammatory and keeps my energy level high as per usual . Planning on plenty of “ mental detecting” where I also find peace.

The first time I called for the elders was with similar symptoms. I had been diagnosed with what I can recall Zenker's Diverticulum. c/p In Zenker’s diverticulum, you have a pouch in the back of your throat. The pouch makes it hard for you to swallow food. Zenker’s diverticulum typically affects people ages 70 to 90 and develops over time. You may have the condition for many years before you have symptoms. Healthcare providers treat the condition with surgery. My wife had been diagnosed with numerous afflictions and always made a B-line to call for the elders. God healed her numerous times. I was seriously considering her advice to call the elders requesting to have them pray for me and anoint me with oil. When she left to go to the back of the church totally unbeknownst to her during Mens' Bible study, I made a request for the scriptural adherence aforementioned. I left her a note and when the preacher pulled a chair out and stated if the person wanting prayer still wants prayer come up here and we'll have the elders pray over them. I walked to the front of the church and left her the note. It read in large part: O ye of little faith did you not have faith that I would not delay? When I went back for further procedure the Zenker Diverticulum was gone. I was prescribed medication and it was most likely not even required. That was approximately (20) twenty years ago. The food that does not go into your stomach may be paralysis. My wife had been diagnosed with those symptoms and discovered she had paralysis in the digestion when she had a colonoscopy of upper and lower. The food could be visibly observed. Brother relicmeister, I know you are an intelligent man and I hope you do not hesitate/delay and stand on scripture.
God bless you.

God is great. I see an oncologist tomorrow and Wednesday a second endoscopy to determine type for sure and extent ( stage). Whatever the results are I’m sure to be in for a ride. However, my faith removes a great deal of the fear I would otherwise have. I believe in the healing power of the blood of Jesus.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
