New forum member
Ben walking up and down the beaches for a long....time....:detecting:
Just replace my old machine with an MX5

New here from Snohomish Washington my 9yr son wanted a metal detector for his 10th birthday. After a bunch of reading I settled on a Ace 250 it should be here friday. I'm thinking my son just sucked me into a new hobby Grrrrr.;-)

New....from Martinsburg, Iowa. Been over 30 years since I had a detector in my hands as younger kid. Just recently bought a new Minelab 505 from KellyCo and thought this might grow on me in time so got an Explorer SE with extra coils from a poster on detecting site. Have to open the shipping boxes tonight and get started. No big hopes to start, actually on a project I am doing think one will just buzz the whole time on acres of old railroad ground that included depot, stockyard, tile factory, and lord knows what else. Needless to say, I have a LOT of learning to do.

Hello all,

My name is Dan and I am from southeast Michigan. I am a history teacher and I am expecting my first child any minute now! Skipped a beautiful day of detecting to help the wife. This is my first season metal detecting. Joined a former student and his dad, and I am hooked! Constantly watchig youtube videos and researching new locations. I bought a White's coinmaster GT and a White's bullseye TRX pinpointer. I have had some luck this year and posted some findings on the today's forum page. Best finds so far = 1871 two cent and 1876 seated dime.

Dan
