Why is it people are having issues with their detectors at wet salt sand beachesa nd in salt water after all that has been posted about thiese concerns? Why not contact Garrett and get a response from the Enigeering Department like I did? They do tell the facts. Why deny the answer? I don't understand it. The machine can be adjusted to quiet it down in a wet salt environment, sacrificing perhaps some primary targets. Know your machine takes on a new meaning, doesn't it? A noisy single frequency VLF detector in wet salt sand salt water? Go fiigure.
