My most meaningful coin find ever. It's "priceless" to me:angel:

Thanks Lonnie. I was actually doing halfway okay...until I started typing responses to everyone. Dang...I can't type much without getting choked up. I nheeded to...and wanted to share it with everyone here though. Thanks for responding my friend.

Thanks brother....and I'm sorry for your loss. I do truly know mom is in a better place...and that she is still with me in spirit. She will be my best hunting buddy from now on...and will always be with me...and watching down upon me. Take care...and thanks again

sorry to hear of you loss. Having lost my Mom, Dad, Step-mother and all my grandparents I know the feeling of loss. May God bless your Mom with her home in heaven as she awaits on her loved ones here on earth to join her in each of their time. Bless you and your family too Bryce.

I've been gone for the last 17 days and haven't had any time to read or even get close to a computer. When i read your story, I could understand where your coming from. That has to surely be a find of a lifetime, which you will cherish for the rest of your life. By the way, it makes me think of my best find. I have found thousands of coins, rings, jewelry, relics. But my best find came in 2007. See you can always go out and find coins, rings and jewelry, but finding a true friend was the best find of all. You have totally blessed my life and hundreds of others, and for that, I thank you my friend. God bless you and the people you dig with. HH..Phil ;)

Now you went and got me all choked up again brother. Too bad we didn't meet sooner...and that we had to spend so many years hunting alone. Actually...unless D starts keeping some ham and root beer in the fridge...you're going to be hunting alone again:bouncy:
I'm glad you made it through the holidays. Mine were different. I can't say they sucked because I got to spend some quality with my daughter and my dad...but there was a big void there which mom left. One empty chair by the Christmas tree...no phone call from her on new years day....but I have this sweet dime which takes me back to that special moment each time I look at it.
By the time we hunt next season...I hope to have this merc mounted in 14K and hanging from my gold chain...where it belongs.
Maybe we can make a trip to your hometown,...the Himalayas....and dig up some relics of some kind...or maybe a footprint. I hear Yeti prints are scarce:thumbup:
Thanks for the kind words bro...It's nice to have a true friend. Now it's time for me to head to work.

Sometimes in our most trying times, an event takes place that truly, truly, gives us solace.

Thanks for responding bro. It was a little different around the Christmas tree this year. I hope 09 is not such a whirlwind:angel:

Thanks Neal. I hope I can find a good jeweler who can make me a nice mounting for it. I would love to wear it on my chain. Take care...and have a safe new year.

Sorry to hear that, Bryce. That's a wonderful story about that coin and I'm glad you had that experience.

My dad died in Nov. at 92. He was ready. (My mom went 26 years ago.) I found some coins when we divided the last of his stuff but nothing that would attach that kind of memory to it.

Thanks Rich. I appreciate it buddy. My mom fought it and beat it for nearly 7 years. The strength she displayed is something I will always cherish.

Hello Bryce, That is truly a priceless and touching story that I can relate to!! A true "precious piece of silver"!! A wonderful memory!! Thanks for sharing!!! EddieB

Hi Eddie. Thanks for viewing and responding my friend.
I want to have the dime mounted in a nice 14k setting so I can wear it on my chain....but I'm having problems finding one. All I can locate are the plain screw top type 14k round bezels that it sits in. I want something fancy...but it's hard to find one for anything other than gold coins. I'll kep looking until i find one.
Take care...and have a nice new year.

That story is very touching. You were meant to find that coin.
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit

Thanks for the Awesome story Bryce!

Thanks for reading it buddy. I will have that dime mounted in a 14k setting in a few weeks. I have a jeweler checking on some as we speak. It won't be anything fancy...just something simple ...and done in 14k so I can wear it on my chain.
