How many COMPADRES ??

Just ordered one with 5.75 coil. I was hunting some school ball fields this past weekend with my Cibola which has stock 9x8 coil and it was fine in the open areas but around pic nick tables and where people mostly hang out there were just way to many targets under the coil, so I figured the Compadre would fit the bill as I know there has to be good targets between all the trash. I started to get the 5.75 coil for the Cibola but this way I will have a backup, plus it is always fun to get a new toy.:beers:

You might as well take the batteries out of your other detectors. They will gather dust now. It is very hard to put the COMPADRE down. Once you learn it you will trust what it is telling you. It is one HOT detector that everyone loves... KEN

I just bought another COMPADRE from Walt in AZ. A great guy to talk to. I got this detector for a friend of mine in the Philippines. He is from Maine and now lives over the pond. I will take it to him this December when we go back their. ... KEN

No "other" machines now

I started off using an ace 250 . Being a newbie i soon figured out that our clad was "different" ......i never bonded with the 250 and i soon found it a new home. Then i was loaned a teknetics delta 4000 , nice machine but it is almost $200 more than the compadre . And the compadre is better suited for me and cheaper! The only machine i would like now.....? a 5 3/4 compadre

This will be one detector you will fall In love with right away. Very light and easy to use. It will find that tiny gold and does darn good on coins... You will love it... KEN

Only have the 5,75 for now, but my dealer has an 8 that's calling my name. My all-time best find, a $1200(minimum) ring was with it. It's a toy, and it's not a toy. It has taught me some things about my other detectors. They lie to me allot.

I have a Compadre 5 3/4" coil, I put a cable connector on it and will have an 8" coil delivered tomorrow, can't wait to see how she acts with a little more coverage.

I just traded a new mxt 950 coil for a new 8in compadre. Do you guys use coil covers on these ? Don't have much time to hunt but can't wait to try it. Thanks for this thread makes me feel good about the trade.

I have hunted for over 30 years now. I own covers for all my coils. 99% of the time I do not use one. If I hunt in a rocky place I will use a cover. Other than that, I dont use them. I have never wore out a coil. Remember, life time warranty... KEN. Ind.

I'm on my 3rd lol. I had a blast with my 8" this weekend. (Wow, that doesn't sound right LOL )

I like that one. Fortunately none of my detectors lie to me- they are all Tesoro's!

Thank you Ken I try to use coil covers as much as possible but I ended up trading in the compadre that I got in a trade for a new Vaquero I like the life time warranty so down the road I'll get a new compadre.
