General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Hey Morris,

It's great to see you helping these kids. They will remember it for life! If anyone has been around the forums for any time they know who you are already and also know how good of a person you are.

BTW, I'm here in Daytona looking out the window at the beach right now ;-) Just had to throw that in...HA

I'm still useing that Minelab bag you sent over and I really appreciate the good deal and fine service!

I think what you are doing has "GOOD CAUSE" written all over it!
Had you disclosed a little more about the whys and wherefors, surrounding the kiddo's lives and such I think this misunderstanding could have all been avoided.
Mrs. BootyBay, a good freind of mine was just being a concerned Internet Citizen and should be commended!
We need more like her for sure as there has been a rash of fraudulent activities of late.

Scamming for a 25 dollar yard sale detector! Now that made me LAUGH OUT LOUD. Morris, I commend you. Bootybay, I understand your concern, but honestly, what were YOU scammed out of? What first hand knowledge do you have to make any judgement? If I donate a couple of bucks to a homeless person and they go buy a cheap bottle of wine, is that my fault? Scams happen, so what!!

Life is really a LOT better when you try to see the BEST in folks and try to imagine the BEST until you have personal knowledge of wrong doing, not heresay.
 
I am just helping two kids out when their mom would never have the extra money to buy them a metal detector they both love trying to out hunt me.. and they have trust me it is sad when a kid with a $200 metal detector out hunt a F75 :( ... but i just got to love seeing them smile all day long even when they found enough to buy a little toy or some ice cream from the local truck.. just knowing they would never forget the man that turned them into treasure hunters and knowing they never forget the good times when they was a kid...makes it all worth it..

on the other side please stop jumping on BootyBay... she thought she was doing the right thing by posting this was a scam she may never stop thinking it is.. but she has that right to her own feelings I love to meet her one day just to show her not everything that is good out there in the world is a scam.. some people do good things for others... just stop and look at the American Soldier...

Hey morris how you doing? I don't know why I never got any of my messages sent to my outlook box. I sold the MXT on e-bay. I am sorry.

Been doing great.. found a gold ring last weekend only 10k with little Diamonds but gold is gold right?..

Jason and I read the add about the MXT He (Jason) asked if we cant trade it for the MXT knowing I used to have one I did not see the wrong in asking..
after all it is HIS F2 now right?..

knowing what a fine man you are, I am certain you had some long hard considerations about making this post.
I would like very much to commend you Sir, It took "Guts", and an Honorable person to bring this matter forward.



I just don't know what to think !!! I hope the moderators can do a full investigation of the entire donation thing.. Let the chips fall where they may !!!
 
The only thing I have to say is this this... I feel badly for Dan, he did a act of kindness, trying to help a child out.. and I agree with Elton, it took guts for Lutherluke to do what he did..and frankly I am glad he posted it...
 
If this was wrong to do what Jason asked me to do for him I am sorry.
Dan If need be I'll send this unti back to you and I'll buy Jason another one..
the last thing I need is people out there thinking I am a type of to rip someone off..

Wow...I am not sure what it is...but credibility has to be #1 for all of us! Morris....not sure how Daniel feels about the gift he gave to the child. But would the mxt not have been way to heavy for the young boy???:confused: I would think so... Obviously this was Daniel's deal and Daniel's call... But Morris I know you may not like this...but if I had given you a detector and saw you try to trade it.... especially after all the people that questioned you here! I would not even believe you would even think something like this!

I am sorry...I kind of switched sides on this one... You were going to trade the 2 pound detector for a four pound detector and this was for the child???:confused: Sorry....but now this whole post seems very very fishy! Everyone lets be very careful who we deal with... On all the forums lately there have been quite a few warnings of bad activity...

before I got the F75 I had a MXT and Jason used it with no trouble at all.. I made a deal
and got another F75 for it and gave that one to my Dad so we both can go to the North South Hunt.
I did trade one F75 for a Excalibur I still have the other one that my dad used and that I still use today. But you are right maybe I should not have listen to Jason's request and maybe should have told him that the f2 was a gift and not for him to trade but I did what he asked again I am sorry for
that. If Dan feels that he would like to have the F2 and coil back I'll tell Jason and have it sent back to him.
