The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

anyone have a metal detector thay can Donate?

I know this is asking alot but I am looking for someone to Donate a Metal Detector for a 12 year old boy he has been hunting with me for the past few months.. we got him a ACE250 for Christmas last year but someone took it from his house I have been checking to pawn shops in the area and nothing has turned up.. I have tried to sale something to get the money up to buy one for him and bang I have a bill pop up I had to pay asap.. so not I am asking for someone to donate a unit to him.

I don't even know the the guy that has dun this kind act!! My hat is off to you! There are still some really great people in this hobby more then willing to help out when needed!! Congrats !!! George
 
Theres something fishing going on here... I am not trying to start trouble, but first on two sites your asking for a detector for a 12 yr that had his stolen out of his house....you get a f2 comming to you....then on the other site...you ask for ANOTHER detector as your SURE his 9 yr old brother would like one..... If you knew his brother would like to hunt then why didnt you ask for two detectors to begin with????? and to turn down a free detector from someone else cause it wasnt WHAT you wanted???? what is wrong with this picture... I don't think this is on the up and up.. Wonder between the two sites how many free detectors you really end up??????

am sorry but this whole deal is not smelling right.... turns down a free detector cause its not the one he wanted????? free is free excuse me..... and then posts on another site that his 9 yr old brother would like one too??? I do not buy this at all...
 
ok when did i turn down a detector ?? did i miss something here??.. asking for one and getting one was hard for me to do to start off with..
asking for two in my book would have been out of this world.. I was darn luckey to get one for them to use to start with.. No sir in no way is this a scam I would never do that.. I have been a member of this forum from 2005 and have bought and sold alot of stuff on this forum I have good friends that post here
and I have meet some great pople in person. it is sad to think when someone ask for help the first thing people think of is a scam.
getting one detector is what the boys are used to (taking turns with it) I was asking for two just to see if someone else may have one so they dont have to take turns anymore.. if you see I posted and sold a pocket uniprobe to help buy one for them if it was not for my wife saying we are $150 short on a car payment I would have got a ace250 off the man that has one for sale on another treasure forum you can ask him (i have his email just pm me for it) I was talking to him way before posting for a donationg of one... most people that know me know I am one person that can be tursted... the boys lost thier dad in a car accident about two years ago
we have been doing what we can to help them and thier mom out when we can.. I have NEVER asked for help like this before I have always done it mysalf..

What happened here is obviously a generous caring guy (Dan), he is someone special who is willing to help when needed. Bootybay (Rae) is also that same type of person, I know. But I would not be so quick to jump all over her... if it is true it is true. I think her point of view comes from another forum you posted on that several scams have been uncovered...including people pretending to be here when really in the Phillipines... There were quite a few others...including those using different names and computers/laptops just to pretend they were someone else. Oh and my favorite the guy who found the cent from the 1850/60's but forgot he posted it one year earlier as a garge sale find!:stars: There were identical markings on the coin...and the person blew up the pics of the so called "find" and the garage sale pic and put them side by side... So being careful and thoughtful as Dan and Bootybay are being is a good thing...:clapping:

I truly understand there are scams out there and god knows I have read a ton of them BUT when a member on the forum that has been a member for a long time. people should give it some sort of credit for people that has been members for as long as Dan and I have been...

Morris, being a member for a long time on a forum, doesnt make one honest, I am NOT saying your dishonest, a person can be anthing they want on the internet and a person that you think you know or rather have known a long time on the internet can turn sour in a heartbeat... There has been lots of scams.. We had a organized free detector giveaway on the other site... We had major problems with donations to it..to get the funds up for 4 free detectors, and he too was a long time standing member and accussed as well of scamming.. Finally, the funds were collected and detectors send out to those that needed them got them.. And in all honesty, when you posted on two sites and then asked for another one, well, think how you would of thought, scam .. big time... With the way the economy is going, theres scams all over the place, Everyones having a hard time with how its going with the economy.
.. I hope your 12yr old enjoys his detector and so does his little brother.. but we too have to be very careful here as well.. so I hope you understand.. and kindly post pictures of the boy getting his detector as well, that will take care of others if they doubted you as well.. and its called covering your butt too..

ps the person on the other site offered you a bounty hunter if I am not mistaken and was told you turned it down..
 
I understand what you are talking about and I dont think I turned him down ??? I have to go back and read the post again... I am at work at this time and I cant get on any other sites but this one due to fire walls in the computer system at work.. getting a photo of the boys with the metal detector is not a hard thing to do trust me they are some camera hogs :) ... sorry if I upset anyone, but i took the post about this being a scam and a attack on me... I hope you undersand and who I am...

Morris, I take back what I said, I have confirmation from others that you sold detectors recently on another site and also had a problem shipping something... so as far as my own personal self goes... scam... big time scam and I am done with this crap... kindly do not do the oh pity me crap
 
ok so I sold some stuff in the past and my work is from 8am to 6pm after the post office closed so i had trouble shipping something makes me a scammer?
do you get a some sort of kick out this?.. get a life well ya.. I am just trying to help some kids out..

I have had transactions with Morris in the past. He is a stand up guy and to state otherwise over alleged shipping delays is not fair. I purchased a coil from him and it was shipped timely and was exactly as described. Morris was honest with me and does not deserve to be labelled a scammer, in my humble opinion.

I would warn everyone that throwing defamatory labels around, on the word of others and not having any evidence to back it up, is not a wise thing to do. Such statements can be actionable i.e., in a lawsuit, under a defamation theory. So I would be very careful in what I say about another individual on this website or any other, as lawsuits have happened over less. If you do not have proof/evidence(meaning it happened to you and you personally have the documentation) that someone is a "scammer" don't accuse them of being one.

Morris, you did a good thing helping out those young treasure hunters!

Well, I am done with this, as I know whats going on.. enough said.. pictures or not pictures... Apparantly I hit a nerve.. oh well.. I can sleep at nite..

I won't be responding to anymore of this.... whatever you wanna call it... thats it Morris... you have your opinion I have mine..
