Anybody want to start an Ace350 tips thread?

I have had my 350 freak out on wet sand before, but I think the sensitivity up too much. I have heard that going way down on the sensitivity will help.

In even the least trashy areas I'm finally learning to TURN DOWN THE SENSITIVITY.........3 Bars max.............I've been very agitated with mine at times........Put me in a no trash area and I can find targets at will....Mix in the trash and I go back to like I never detected before........Point is really dial down the sens......Dave

I got a call from a lady who wants me to bring the 350 out to mdetect her property. Her present house was built in 1957, and previous house was from 1840's. The property is near the Savannah river and sounds like a prime place for some hunting.

Let me know if you need some help.

Keepin it alive.

Sounds like some prime hunting to do there!!! I wish I could find places like that here in the Houston area!!

Do any of you own the 350 and the 250, or the AT Pro and the 350? Just wondering about direct comparisons . If anyone owns all three, you just rock.

just a 250, then 350....im getting to know my 350 better.....I really liked the 250with the 9x12 coil. I like the target ID though on the DD coil...its dead on every time.

I just got my AT Pro a few days ago, and have a 250 and 350. Haven't used the AT enough to understand what it is telling me, but I did run it in standard mode in an area that I had totally cleaned out with my 350, and was instantly finding coins at 8" plus. The AT does seem to be quite a bit deeper than the 350, even with larger coils on the Ace. It gives a lot more info to process though. The Ace units are just a pleasure to use. I'm hoping that once I learn the AT, I'll be able to say the same for it.

Darren, Andrew, That is what I wanted to hear. I really like my 350 and I plan to eventually get an AT Pro. I too love the Ace series and for that matter Garrett. You have to love a company that: that makes good products, stands behind them, and sells them at fair prices. Oh yea, and sells a machine for every product level.:garrett::clapping:

I would like to get the 350 out today, but I'm scared it will melt!!!! It is 97 degrees here today in Augusta, Ga. It is going to be a long hot summer here in the south. :nopity:

I feel your pain! I'm down here near Valdosta, GA, and along with the almost 100 degree weather, the humidity feels like it is at 100 percent as well! I'm starting to think that night hunting may be the way to go!

Night hunting is a good idea. I saw a device called, I believe, a "Stealth Device". It plugs into the headphone port and replaces the usual Ace tones with flashes of light. I just Goggled it and stealth device is the name of the product. They have a YouTube video. I like it because I think I would feel claustrophobic at night with the h.phones on.

I had seen that. The only problem I see with it is that you can't differentiate between tones. I agree with you on the headphones at night. Too easy for some thug to sneak up on you in the dark! If you get one of the stealth devices, let me know how it works out. I may have to spring for one soon too!

When I spring for I will let ya know how it works out. It will probably be like learning the Ace all over again, but I am sure it beats heat stroke.

Bruce, excellent info! I'll certainly be on that site often. Wish there were some way we could share the info in the forum!

Happy Hunting!
