Anybody want to start an Ace350 tips thread?

I am not surprised at the amount of interest in a 350 forum, but kinda surprised at the lack of action on getting it done; at least a response from the powers at be.

Everyone that wants a ACE FORUM say i. i

How long would an ACE350 tips thread last. I think yall are doing good communicating with your thoughts.

Well, I emailed the findmall helpdesk and asked about an ace forum. Doesn't look like we will be getting one... Oh well, we tried!

That's ok we ll just keep this tread alive!!!!

I went out in my front yard tonight...put the sensitivity on 1 or 2 and did very well. Im starting to think that the ace 350 is awesome where there isnt much trash or bottle caps. Then again, maybe Im just getting the hang of it and like all detectors it just takes a little time. Im gonna keep using it with sensitivity very low and see how I do. Tonight was def the best night I had....landed 4 wheaties, 2 dimes, an argentina peso, a sky king decoter...photo below and an army dog tag from 1966.
with the DD coil.

Good deal! You will like the 350 when you get used to it. It is a little difficult in trashy areas, but still a great machine!

Yeah I needed a good day with it.....I do think the DD coil is very different and it has its pro's and cons....the pros being the target indicator is amazing. Im also still learning the hobby...Im realizing that parks etc are ok places to hunt but they a/are full of trash and b/have been hit probably already. Im learning that the best places are places in the middle of nowhere that have never been hit perhaps.
The sky king spy detecto really got me fired up tonight landing that.

I would definately want to see a forum dedicated to just the ACE line of Garrett products as they are probably the most popular detector out there.

wow yeah I dont know how the swiper would do...good idea. The 9x12 works good....not as much trash.....but with the DD much better target identification.

Just got my 350 back from Garrett. they put on new coil and tuned it. I haven't got to try it out, i don't think it ever going to stop raining !

The sniper coil works really well with the 350. I have found pennies at a solid 5", sometimes a little deeper. If you hunt parks or trashy areas, the sniper coil is a very good investment.

Ok, somebody else try this and tell me if I am crazy or what. Pinpoint an object as usual, then while holding down p.point, turn the coil clockwise or counter clockwise as much as you can-- while keeping the coil level. If the tone stays maxed out you are directly over the object. If the tone dies off, well, you know the story.

Ive been killnig it in my front and back yard with the DD coil...ofcourse my wife isnt happy with the digging but she is learning to understand it : ) Im replacing my holes.
The DD coil is amazing in places like old homes. Loving it.

Has anyone had any luck in wet sand with the 350? Pinpointing is awful in wet sand for me. Pinpoint great on land and even dry sand isn't too bad but wet sand is a killer. Would like to know if anyone else has this problem.
