That is a WILD amount of variation!

Difference between iron false and co-located signals?

I think you meant Reactivity instead of Audio Response Tony. And yes, I have found that even with co-located targets I can most of the time get a good response at a couple of angles, no matter where those angles start. If I get 30-45 degrees of NOTHING…I have found iron. Make sure to use...

    Got a few flat buttons

Nice work there Pete! Is the wind blowing like an SOB every damn day over there too?? It is unbelievable in southern Wisconsin, it just NEVER ENDS! One day recently the wind was so bad it made me go home from detecting, I was literally getting thrown around, and I’m not a small guy! I’ll bet the...

    Adjusting audio

You can push all the buttons you want, it won’t save anything when you shut it off unless you save it as a new program as stated. So…you can explore everything without fear of mucking it up.

What do we know so far about the next update for Deus II?

Nobody besides XP and extremely close associates genuinely know where things stand, it’ll be here. It’s been shown by a YouTuber associated with XP that certain upgrades regarding full notch access have already been made to the WS6 as XP had sent them a partially upgraded software version. Iron...

    9" coil or another machine?

I’ve got the 9” for almost all of my hunting Tony, I also have the 11x13” but find it to be a bit big and heavy for my uses. I’m wondering WHAT elliptical coil on a single freq machine might be better than the 9” on the D2, if that’s what’s being inquired about. Unless it’s for hunting in VERY...

    X-Y screen user opinions please?

What is said here about the audio(for the umpteenth time) is totally true. I can have the RC in my pocket and make accurate dig/no dig decisions on coins all day. However, this obviously changes when you’re hunting things OTHER than coins, and the X-Y might be more useful there. Whatever method...

    9" coil or another machine?

What “other machine” would that be? You’d be buying it specifically for the SIZE of the elliptical coil?

Ws6 master in salt water......anyone doing it??

I have not Tim but unless there’s some other factor I’m not aware of, there shouldn’t be any difference in performance, all the “parts” are there. Do you have this rig to put the puck in?

ID numbers read 30 points higher on my XP than my mxt????

The machines are simply set up differently. One is multi frequency, one is not. Forget everything you know about the MXT, the Deus2 is NOT that. Target ID ranges can vary wildly from machine to machine, and can be displayed differently. On a CTX a silver dime can read 12-45…a TWO number display...

    New to Desus.

That’s all correct, version .71 for both RC and puck.👍

    New to Desus.

It works very well Fred, just accept that it’s “different” and adjust accordingly. Gary in the UK had some very good instructional videos on how to operate the various components and how to get through them. Once you get it, you’ll have it. It’s ACCURATE and FAST.

Dang! You‘re gonna cook like a chicken out there DD! Hopefully that subsides a bit, that doesn’t sound good.

    Warranty Registration

I’d have to look for sure but if it’s like most other things these days it shouldn’t matter, all these serial numbers are registered at date of sale by the dealer or distributor so you can get things covered without having to have all that stuff. I just warranted some AirPods and they just go by...

    D2 Tone Questions

Picketwire has it nailed. It’d be great to be able to take a few coins and make a garden if you dont have one, just to test out what coins sound like in different sound profiles, and more importantly, how different they sound at depth. Here’s a hunt I was on yesterday with the D2 and there are...

    XP WSAII XL vs. backphones

That is a good point, and that goes for all aspects of the hobby as well. We can only speak from our own POV which may or may not be someone else’s! Right now it’s 40 degrees here in Wisconsin and 40 mph gusts, and I’m heading out to hunt! Someone in the south might not exactly find that to be...

    XP WSAII XL vs. backphones

Yes, I’ve used the WS6 and WSA2XL. The bigger phones to me are superior by quite a ways, and being able to hear EVERYTHING in the audio is paramount! I can recommend the bigger headphones completely.

    Bummer,now I gotta wait!

Nice! It is very surprising how FAST they are, have fun with it!

    Bummer,now I gotta wait!

Chris…question for you…what made you decide to get the Deus1 as opposed to the Deus2 or even some other machine?

    Aerial antenna

The battery life of the RC is longer than you will hunt on any given day, the savings would be nominal at best. It’s rated for 15 hours of usage using the BC headphones or RC speaker, 30 hours with wireless headphones.
