Warranty Registration

Anyone ever have issues when entering and trying to complete the warranty on line. Tried from my phone and desktop. Would go all the way through some jib jab bull of email/originator when you hit the register button after filling everything out.

I’d have to look for sure but if it’s like most other things these days it shouldn’t matter, all these serial numbers are registered at date of sale by the dealer or distributor so you can get things covered without having to have all that stuff. I just warranted some AirPods and they just go by the serial numbers. Hopefully XP is the same way

Just make sure you keep your original purchase receipt & you will be all right.

I have tried three times, and when I hit submit, it tells me something like that mailing list is no longer active.

Hopefully there will not be a need for it, thanks

The cap on my MI-6 was cracked new-in-box (over tightened at the factory). I had to use a rubberized grip pad to get it off. I called the XP America’s number and initially got a message that they had been sold and the phone system was temporally not being answered. I called back several days later, reached a nice lady, and explained the situation. They said it was a known issue, and sent me a new cap. I didn’t have to provide purchase documentation for that. But, I tried to register it again the next day and got the same message. I figure I will give them another call and ask.

Apparently Detector Electronics Corp. that handled XP Americas is out of business and metaldetector.com is taking over. The US service center number is 1-800-933-2897. They said XP is still honoring the warrantees, but this explains why we can’t register our detectors through XP Americas. I was told they will eventually sort out the registration and may have that on the main XP website. But for now just save your sales documentation and provide that if need be with a warranty claim. They said there was a whole shipment of over tightened MI6 caps. All I had to do was call and tell them and they shipped one right away which I received in a few days.
If you can’t get your cap off, I used a rubberized grip pad and a pipe wrench and gently kept increasing pressure until it finally turned. Thankfully, the threads were not damaged.
