Got a few flat buttons

Took the deus out today to a small colonial site I’ve pounded with everything else, found dozens of flat buttons, colonial coppers,a reale ,etc.. I figured the deus would sniff out a few more, got home and saw I hit the dandy button with my shovel wasnt too happy about that one.. Good day and the deus is still the best relic machine I’ve ever used.

It was definitely down there, but even the tiny flat buttons were a good 8 inches ..I’m not a tweaker, been running the deus since it came out and I rarely ever stray from basic 1,,I run the sens up to 95,reactivity of 2 and audio gain at 5, three tones…Those have been my go to settings on Basic 1 forever and its deep and gets what others can’t see.

Old buttons all day everyday right here. Congrats.

Nice work there Pete! Is the wind blowing like an SOB every damn day over there too?? It is unbelievable in southern Wisconsin, it just NEVER ENDS! One day recently the wind was so bad it made me go home from detecting, I was literally getting thrown around, and I’m not a small guy! I’ll bet the wind really dries out the buttons and other copper right quick too, it just sucks so far this year.
You know I’ve been a stalwart FBS guy for some time before late last year, the XP stuff is just doing something very different than the rest it seems. I can’t prove that, and I can’t quantify it scientifically other than to simply observe what I get for results. The technology is pretty amazing, whether it’s the D1 OR D2.

Thats weird i was just saying that the past two weeks or so its been really windy pretty much non stop. And im kind of far from you.
We have been in an unusual weather pattern I guess.

Everything is deep at this site, today I cranked it upto 25 kHz and ran the reactivity at 2.5. Went over the are I hit yesterday and found a good bit more.. lots of square nails everywhere, and everything is deep… That little 9 inch coil sure gets down there tho,no iffy signals either..Got a nice weave button with shank, few broken flat buttons and a old school tack with a round metal base,it’s sharp that’s for sure..

Not sure but I've found about 5 like it at this site, all have gold gilt. Very old site, oldest coin I found there was a king George 2nd, the newest coin i found there was a 1805 half cent..Nj coppers, reale, etc.. im assuming all the buttons date 1700s too.. The site is polluted with these big old square nails, holes are just full of em when im looking for the target..
