    Metal detectors in crime solving

The use of both wouldn't be a bad idea.

    Metal detectors in crime solving

I hope they let you help with that. You're right about the dental work, buttons, and pocket change. Even some earrings would have enough metal to sound on a metal detector.

    Metal detectors in crime solving

In Springfield Missouri, they've never found the Springfield Three. I've told several people to get someone with a metal detector and start searching around some of those lakes. I don't know if anyone has done that yet.

    Metal detectors in crime solving

It's interesting how metal detecting has helped in crime solving over the years. Missing persons have been found by people using these machines. The Curtis Huntzinger case is one good example.

Where Are The New Fisher Models ?

I sent an email to Fisher and asked them if they were going to stop making metal detectors because they are so involved with other things. They have never responded. I also contacted Viking with a similar question. They never responded either.

I'm going back in time instead of moving forward

How do you like the F5? It looks easy to use.

What name brand do you believe has found more coins, gold, relics and or treasure?

Do you use the analog type detectors or computerized? There are some new analog type that look very nice and get good reviews.

Is Metal Detecting on the Decline?

There's a list online of places that have already outlawed metal detecting. In Arizona, if you find anything over 100 years old, the state wants to take it from you.

    Good Service

I've seen a couple of people mention they didn't like the service they got after sending a metal detector in for repair. Can anyone tell us about a positive experience they had while seeking repairs?

Is Metal Detecting on the Decline?

I believe a lot less people are metal detecting because modern electronics has made many people lazier. We don't have to get up to change a channel, we don't have to dial a number to make a call, and pretty soon we won't even have to drive our car. So, it's not surprising that fewer people are...

What name brand do you believe has found more coins, gold, relics and or treasure?

I like that Idea. Someone had asked if Fisher might stop making metal detectors. Would they have any reason to stop?

    Fisher F5

It seems like most of the detector companies are doing away with the knobs. I suspect it will soon be touchscreens like the cell phones.

Have you found any neat things while detecting.

    Fisher F5

They have a place on the forum where you can post the F70 for sale. Thanks for the offer though. I hope you find cool things on your hunt.
