If you could buy one of three detectors and the choices were Fisher F44, Teknetics Liberator, or fisher F5, which one would you choose?
 
Never used a F44 but had the F4 and I wasn't impressed.
A very experienced detecting buddy wouldn't own another F5 if it was given to him.
The Liberator ($350?) I believe is the same as the bounty hunter Land Ranger Pro. I really liked mine. Amazon has a used one for $222

What was your friend's complaint about the F5?
 
I had a hunting buddy that had a F 5 and did very well with it. He did really well finding gold rings turf hunting with. HH jim tn
