TreasurePro vs all others in it's class

Great analysis Gene, I share the same opinions of the T Pro, I was pretty impressed with it and like the display too. I have to give it a

    RD delay

50 will work well in trashy ground but I run it at 100-120 field hunting, I like the more rounded, fuller sound of a target with the slower recovery speed. Recovery speed is not suppose to effect the depth but I seem to get deeper targets with slower recovery and it also helps me hear the...

    First outing with the V3i & ???

Being a used machine, I would call the factory and they will guide you through a master reset bringing everything back to factory settings. It is hard telling what someone else might have done to the programs.

    Sensitivity

Exactly right...... RX gain is the first amplifier in the receiver circuit and amplifies everything the coil receives including EMI, iron halos, minerals and other unwanted signals. You are far better off to reduce the RX gain and increase Discrimination Sensitivity. I never go over RX 10 and...

Coil Test Bad on RX 15 but ???

Sorry, my notes were old before White's started making the other coils V compatible. As I stated, "initially" the test was for the V rated D2 and happy to hear it works on all V coils now. That was cute, Fox asked you to set me straight.

Coil Test Bad on RX 15 but ???

The integrity test was initially for the 10" DD but White's backed away from depending on that test, too many coils that "failed" at high gain, tested fine in the lab and it is also common for smaller coils to overload at high gain. Your 6X10 may very well be defective but I wouldn't worry...

Coil Test Bad on RX 15 but ???

You might have your settings too high for conditions or for the ground. I would call the factory before sending anything back. Try to lower your gain and see if overload goes away. You may also have other settings too high as well. Testing at Gain 15 is not a very reliable way to test a coil.

    Coil Question

6.59 KHz coils are for the XLT and some older detectors. Stick to the coils tuned for the V series.

A good find that could have been left behind.::surprised:

Congratulations Greg, a good lesson to all. I too dig all deep targets that repeat no matter how crappy they might sound.

On its way back to White's

Hi Gene. I too like to lock the tracking on the T Pro and my V3i. My ground does not vary much and the detectors seem to be much more stable and I agree with you on the price vs. value ratio on the T Pro, a great detector for the money. I love the display as well, I don't need my glasses to...

    Problem with 5.3 coil...

The good news is you will get a new coil in short order. :clapping: I would call Mary at the factory and ask for her advise, she is a good person to know.

    Problem with 5.3 coil...

It sounds like the coil is not a V rated coil but if the serial # starts out with a V, it is and needs to go back to White's.

    Silver Drought Ends!

I would have missed those too, that is the way clad comes out of the ground here and silver is as shinny as the day they lost it unless the silver was found in a lake or river.

    Book for V3i

The closest thing to a book is this forum especially the Links post above. Carl also wrote an Advanced Users guide that is full of good info http://forums.whiteselectronics.com/forumdisplay.php?71-Advanced-User-s-Guide

    programing without coil

    I second BS, no harm.

What happened to the TM Pro , I was wanting to know about it.

A lot depends on your ground and hunting needs for which one is for you. For beach hunting, the TM works fine but for my hunting style the Pro is a much better unit for a little more money. I just got done putting the Pro though the paces for a review and I was very impressed with the unit for...

    Wireless + wired headphones?

It seems like both can work at the same time if my memory serves me right.
  20. Larry (IL)

    Question..About the VX3..

If a wireless headphone has a transmitter that you can plug into the headphone jack, yes it will work but if you want to use the built-in wireless system, you will have to use the White's headset designed for the job.
