After doing some quick online "Majestic" "Grigsby" image searches, I am thinking it is the faceplate off of an old Majestic radio or phonograph. Dave

Wiped Seated, Barber & Big Silver

Thanks for the responses, everyone! Regarding the question on what was on the back of the seated dime. You can very faintly see parts of the wreath but It is pretty much wiped like the front. Yep, it is pretty uncommon to be able to dig even couple hours south this early. The 2nd coin I pulled...

Wiped Seated, Barber & Big Silver

Finds are from the last few weekend hunts since it warmed up a little. Almost all finds were from researched public city parks and schools a couple hours or so south into Minnesota and South Dakota where I could get the digger into the ground. The only exception being the 1888 Indian Head and...

    2 silver day!

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. Alot of the silver dimes I hit sound like deep wheat pennies, so you have dig them as nearby iron or being really worn can drop the silver signal down to wheat penny range. One good silver found today 1875 CC above the bow!

Cool. The merc is probably an older one. Pretty nice condition buffalo for the beach. Make sure and check the back for a mint mark if you haven't already as a 1921 S is a key date. I pulled one a few years ago. Dave

whats the big object in this Picture. Hint...Giddy Up!

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like if the nut worked its way loose, it would still be looped around the reigns. I have found a handful of them over the years, and they are cool to find.

    Summary of 2023 Finds

Thanks for looking and all the responses guys! Yes, that Deus 2 is a great machine and very light which makes swinging longer much easier. The Dakotas definitely have a lot of wind, so you are right about that. Dave

    Summary of 2023 Finds

I decided to post a summary of my 2023 Finds. My primary eTrac detector quit in May, so I took the plunge and switched to the XP Deus II and worked on a custom program and settings that translated well for me from my eTrac. I am glad I did. Most of the finds shown were found with that new XP...

Mark, Very nice variety and congrats on the gold ring. I always shy away from state owned land as I know state parks around here are forbidden to detect on. Dave
