Did I or did I not read on here That you can VDI a coin by using the PhaseVDI read out by going to ground track
Holding coil in air, push menue button and go into Zero, lower coil to the ground and over the coin that you just have finished pinpointing and the VDI number will read the Coin just like DC Phase on the DFX. If so my nickle I have in my Garden will not read out around the 18/19 VDI in Dis. Or...- Tinfoil

Have not sent my V3 in yet will wait till the rush is over but maybe Rob or Larry can answer one for me
Like I said I don't have the 10X12 yet but I run the 6X8 90% of the time. On my Safari and SE I run the 6X8 and 10X12" and that is it all the rest are in a box in the corner. Whites replaced two of my D2 coils. Both will work in boost now, one will RX at 15 with boost on and the other one...- Tinfoil

With the V3i for those of us that run the after market coils like I run the 6X8" SEF coil and I really love it. What coil selection do you guys use when you have the coils on your machine. Well I did not try to highjack Low-Boys thread just get him to look at the footprint in width and depth of the 5" coil. No reply :shrug: Thats OK. :D
So for the rest of you that care to read my post on this info. Maybe I did not explain it very well. So if you set the Sen to 65 on your 5" coil that you think you are hunting with, it is now a 7" coil. At 65 just add 2 more inches to the radius or (width to some) of the coil. Phantom Signals
I have had 2 bad D2 coils and I don't have one bit of confidence in them. My other coils work great which are the 5.3" 9.5" my 5X10". I even use my 3X6 shooter non V coil. Whites coil question
Dis. (Sensitivity) at 90 All metal at 70 Rx at 10 was getting a best gain of 8 and a signal loss of 14% on my 6X10" non V coil. The 5.3" with Dis. at 90, all metal at 70 and gain at 8 had a loss of 16% best gain was at a 2. This was all in best Data 3 Freq. I was hitting my 9 1/2 " dime on edge...- Tinfoil

Don't laugh but, I got 3 V coils bad and a machine that needs calibrated. I should be used to it. It took me 3 F75's before they got me one that was right. :rofl: My F75LTD is :thumbup: . Some 6X8 SEF coil Info. Hope it is OK to Post the Info here. It is the results of me playinng around with it. If not just move it to the right Forum
Not many people know about this and you never see anybody doing it or mentioning it. You can get more depth this way then the adjusting the Dis. in the TR mode. Do just like it says to do on page 28 and half of page 29. Take note of the first Paragraph on page 28 It should work rather well up...- Tinfoil

Like on a deep target. Mine does that too. Should not with coins on top of the ground though and with the coil raised up off the ground a few inches. This is in the dirt also and at the beach. So, along with the 3 bad coils and I also really think the machine is out of calibration because...- Tinfoil
