WOW :yikes:

What an Incredible Find! This is what all us treasure hunters dream about! Did you keep any of the bills for your collection? One can sure come up with some wild tales of how it got there! Congrats

I drove to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing U.S. Department of the Treasury, and delivered the 2 rolls to them. They have scientific ways to determine how much is there and send me a check. It's called there Mutilated money department. Only problem is it can take over a year for their specialist to go through it to determine the value.

Just a follow up on Old Paper Money found. It took over a year but the Department of the Treasury (Mutilated Money Dept) sent me a Check for $1250.00. The wait was long but it paid off. :beers:

Wow that's awesome! Congrats on getting that back. It sure did take a long time but hey I'd wait that long on $1250. Thanks for the update

That's great John. Glad to hear it. A little while back I watched a video on that department and how they go about putting the pieces back together. Thanks for the update.

Hello John,
OK I thought I would ask if you would sell the button or were thinking about it I'm looking for a GW button to buy. Did you learn anything about the George Washington button you dug?
Thank You.

I know this variety is rare. Other historic information I have about it, I am not ready to give out just yet. But where I found it, I have traced the property owner's back to the Revolutioary War.

Hello John,
What state did you dig the George Washington button in ? Are you sure its real by having an expert authenticate the button?

Hello John,
Thanks for the reply I know the George Washington button is real because I have the second one known dug in Kentucky. I also know what you are not telling or revealing on this site about the button in relation to the design not the rev war soldiers home site I have no information about that.
Thanks,.

what a great story and find. good luck
