WOW...this was masked for MANY years.:surprised: I LOVE my SE Pro:smile:

Not to take anything from you Bryce but I think it's because your very, very patient when you detect and in no hurry like some of us are, and you go sloooooooooooowwwwwwwwww and keep stating that by saying "you crawled through that area" and it was only a small area usually and you took an hour or 2 to do so. How many of use ever do that when we detect???? I would say probably none self included and that is the TRICK to finding these great finds you keep coming up with. I would say if there is any secret at all to detecting this is it go sloooowwww slower than we do now. Slow down and don't be in any hurry the finds are there for all of us. Enjoy it for what it is and the great day given to us to do so dare I say by God.

If this isn't a selling point to get a minelab machine, I don't know what is. Great recovery. You truly have an ear for these situations, congratulations Bryce! Thanks for documenting and sharing this recovery. HH -Marc

Hi Bryce - I've posted a question about iron masking on the SE and XS further up the forum, in your honest experienced opinion what sort of signal would you have got from this target had you used an open screen? the same? better? worse? - thanks - Gaz.

Gaz....I would not have been running an open screen because I hunt in conductive tones....so I honestly can't answer what it would sounded like.

An open screen is usually associated with ferrous sounds which I do not hunt in.

To me that same hit would have been a jumbled up mess if I was hunting open screen/ferrous tones.

I prefer to hunt in conductive tones with some iron mask because of what I hear over partially iron masked targets.
