Whites MXT 300

Anyone know anything information about this yet?
Becoming new release which the only thing so far is 20% deeper. Anything else?

This is the first that I have heard of it. HH Dennis in Idaho

I understand it is the old MXT with a different colored paint job. The only other thing I have been told is that it now comes standard with the 12" Spider coil. Perhaps the new coil gives it 20% more depth. The price has increased by $100 from the "old" MXT.

A dealer told me this yesterday and he also said White's has a DFX 300 with the same changes as the MXT 300....Don

If that's accurate (about the 12"coil) then I guess I already have one in the old MXT colors. LOL

Be interesting to know what internal changes have been made, if any?
Bill

I wasn't all that impressed with the 12" coil now if they had put the new MXT out with a 6X10 DD as the stock coil they would have something.

Well, to switch the coil and then call it a new machine MXT 300 sounds like a lot of crap!
Unless there are some marked fundamental changes, its still the same old MXT it's always been,
otherwise its just a sham. Maybe I'll give Whites a call Monday and see whats going on.
There MUST be some difference. I can't see why Whites would make a fool of itself by calling
an apple an orange.

I see a post by bubblehead with one already - I'm sure many are waiting to hear anything and everything about this one.

its great your so excited... I know that feeling..but honestly, I have many old diamond rings.. I have never in my life seen one like this... I will be very shocked if its real diamonds..anyone spending alot of money on a diamond ring will not buy it with glued in diamonds, even on the old ones...so maybe your friends not as knowledgeable as you think... best thing you can do is buy yourself a diamond tester kit... then you will know..and a gold kit as well...

I wish you well in hunting.
Hey look they changed the color from black to black.:)
From gloss black to flat black.

I think I will wait for the "NEW" M6-300 to come out !!!!!:spin:

Thank goodness, I thought I was color blind.

I was one of the first to get the MXT and used the stock coil for a couple weeks before switching to the DD. What a difference a coil makes even for general use!

I can only guess what Whites is up to by coming out with a model series based solely on the larger coil.. But, it's a pretty good guess! ;)

I guess I will add my two cents to this issue. If White's introduces a MXT 300 and I say if, because they have not made anything public as of yet, and if there are no changes to the detector other that a flat black powder coating, new decals and a 12 inch search coil I would say that Whites is making a blunder. When I got my MXT and had it for a short time I began looking for a smaller coil. I wanted a coil that would give me good target separation in high trash areas and the large coil that came on the MXT was not suited for trashy areas. Now if whites introduces the MXT 300 and it is indeed just a spruced up MXT with a 12 inch coil what do you think will be the first thing the new owners are going to want for their detector? Now when they install a smaller coil they just have a spruced up MXT but it cost more. JMHO HH Dennis in Idaho

...I feel confident that because of the current economical situation and the fact that metal detecting is a nich market that not a lot of money has been dedicated to producing a new product. Therefor it makes good business cents to repackage what you already have available and hope for a better future economy. Its all in the marketing. I think that they are under the gun to introduce a "new" product for the upcoming season and this is what they could afford. Don't take it personally, its all about the bucks. Business 101. If you want a new MXT then buy one, if not, buy something else or wait for the new product. Its that simple.

I am not sure what the fuss is about White's calling their product packaged with a 12 inch coil MXT300, they still acknowledge it as a MXT. We should all be use to this marketing specially in the automobile industry where this practice is common.
