I simply corrected your comments as shown below because the Racer DOES and Tracking and Manual or Automated Ground Balance. Also, they didn't describe what the "Adjustable Timeout" was, but with the Racer the Backlight comes on with a response or a pull of the trigger.
That only left the Notch Discrimination, and since we haven't see the display or a manual or a breakdown description, we don't know if "Notch Discrimination" means it is a conductivity region like on a Teknetics Delta or Omega, or if it is a series of Discrimination segments as found on a Minelab X-Terra or White's MX5. Maybe it uses a variable 'window' like the Fisher F19? We don't know. All I suggested is that for the more avid folks we know we have to recover trash to find desired targets, or remove the shallower trash to find what might be deeper and older and better.
If someone wants Notch Discrimination, I have an MX5 demo unit I'll trade for a Racer or FORS CoRe. It has 20 Notch Segments, and if you really want to accept and reject a bunch of stuff I'll trade a demo White's VX3 for a Racer w/Pro Pack or a FORS CoRe w/Pro Pack, then you can accept and reject all you want from -95 to 0 and on up to +95. Tinker all you want, if you think Notch Discrimination is very important. Personally, I don't care for it, and I stated that it is a personal opinion.
As to "protect my Racer orders," I don't know what you mean. I am not Nokta or Makro and not under their employ. I don't have any Racer orders, either, because I am not a dealer. If I were a dealer I wouldn't be bothered too much because of the deleted mention by Kellyco. Besides, there was some information not shown that might not be there such as no mention of a VCO audio in the 2-Tone or Beach mode.
I don't sell them, don't take orders for them, don't have any state in the matter .... but it is daylight and I am headed out the door shortly to go use their products because they feel great, work excellent, and find me stuff. I am not taking a Notch Discriminator with me, and don't have, or want, much more than what is ready to go to work.

You pointed to three things you said the Racer doesn't have. Notch, the Ground Balance functions, and Adjustable Backlight Time-out.shoover said:I don't know but the Impact had notch discrimination,( manual) and auto GB and adjustable backlite timeout. three things alone the Racer dosen't have. All metal mode was described as super deep mode.

What you stated was what you saw, I presume, yet you stated three things the Racer didn't have, and I only noticed one described feature.shoover said:Sorry Monte, I know what I saw and your second guessing me to protect your racer orders.

But it seems you didn't understand the Ground Balance options of the racer or the backlight functions, all of which have been mentioned, or you could have read the Owner's Manual.shoover said:I metioned what I understood,
I mentioned the Iron Audio, which IS a feature I stated I like, and Tone Break can be a good or bad thing depending upon how the programming and circuitry functions work. I have used competitors models with variable Tone Break and they don't impress me that much for the type of hunting I do.shoover said:I didin't mention tone break which if this has adjustable tone break like it reads and others agree in the UK forum.
Maybe, just like somebody might cancel an order for a Chevy or Ford because GMC or Lincoln might offer something similar but slightly different.shoover said:Racer orders are going to get cancelled.
Who are "You guys?" The Manufacturer I am sure isn't pleased with the stunt they pulled, and I am sure the Makro Distributor and Makro Dealers in the USA might be bothered a bit, but ... the Nokta line is currently only handled by Kellyco in the USA so that's who buyers have to go to.shoover said:You guys should be mad at Kellyco.
That's correct, and we should just let them handle it without a lot of negative feedback on the Forums.shoover said:Now we will see what kind of company Nokta/Makro is and how they take control of this mess.
I don't see it that way. They are providing a Makro brand Racer to their Makro Distributors and then to their Dealer base, and the consumers are going to get a great quality detector with a lot of performance. With Kellyco, they can't sell Makro but are the only Nokta Dealer and naturally would like to have something similar to be competitive.shoover said:The way I see it they were gonna screw the New Racer owners just like owners of the Fors will loose out big if they choose to sell them to buy a new Racer or Impact.
