Waterproof Connectors

I sold my Soveriegn , and I am contemplating a water machine as I have told you guys in the past ..... I am considering an Excal or a CZ-20 or21 ......If i go the Excal route , I still have a brand new 10x 12 coil that might just fit the bill for a nice coil for the water ....What waterproof connectors have you guys been using for your water machines ? ......Is there a special schematic I have to follow to attach the SEF coil to the Excal or is it the same wiring as the Soveeign ? ......With the correct wiring it should work just fine ..right ? .........Thanks , Jim

JIm, from what iv'e read. Diffrent coil MFG have diffrent colored wires. Coiltec, SunRay, SEF etc. On Doc's website He gives a run down on putting a WOT coil onto an Excall. Not sure if there is anything out there for the others.

Sunray has some, $25 each part...wildherre

How much is a leaky connector worth?
<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This !!!

Inexpenive it NOT always leaky ....It's just inexpensive ...... Pick me one up !!....I'll owe you for it !!..... I"d rather owe you for it than beat you out of the money !!....

U R the one that asked and I answered . I don't sell them so buy what ever U want as it makes no difference to me. All I know is that mine DOES NOT LEAK

erikk ,
Thank you for the info ......I was replying to EZrider .....I'm sorry if you thought I was talking to you .... My apologies ......Thanks again , Jim

wildherre ,
Thanks to for the Sunray link ....$25 sounds more like it ........Jim

Jim, thats $25 each half, $50 a set, handy that way though as you only need to buy 1 female part and the amount of males depending on the amount of coils you have, rather than full sets for each coil and have half of it in the junk box each time.

AHHHHHHHHHHH !!......The old sneakeroooo huh ? .......I see said the blind man ......That's not good having to buy 2 halves .....???????.....I'll pass !!... .....I looked at some Bulgin IP68 Bucaneer connectors online that look very interesting ..... I had a Bulgin connector on an old Park 75 amplifier that I had a few years back .....GREAT AMP !!!...... Thanks for pointing that out to me Kered .....I appreciate it ....Jim

Personaly i would prefer buying in halves, you only need one half for the detector usually female and if you have 3 coils 3 males thats $100 for 3 coils. Buying a complete connector for each coil would work out more expensive

Actually the more I think about it , the more I may just hardwire in a 10 x 12 SEF and be done with it ..... It's a big improvement over the Tornado coil , I can only imagine what kind of improvement it would be over the standard BBS 1000 coil that's on the machine now !!.... I don't think that I want to go to a 12 x 15 coil when IN the water .....I'm fine with my wet/dry sand machine being my E Trac .....I can get a 12 x 15 for that one for coverage on the beach ..... I like the fact that I can go to the matrix and discriminate out all the Pennies and set the machine up for Gold and Silver only without a depth penalty .... Leave the Gold range, and discriminate out everything but Quarters and Silver ...The machine runs much more quietly that way .....Some guys run and discriminate out EVERYTHING except the Gold Range in the water and on the beach !!....... "There's GOLD in them thar hills !!" ......JIm

Nothing yet .....I'm still looking into other connectors too ....I'll post when I get to the final decision ....Jim

Thanks Jim. I will look around also.
