VIDEO OF- Garrett AT PRO vs GTI 2500 Target Speed Recovery Test

crackbadger1 said:
well if you all think its ok do metal detection tests on a cement floor full of rebar, then your never going to learn anything.

From the way it sounds, it is more likely wire mesh that is in the floor and not re-bar but that is besides the point completely. The point is that the At Pro was able to still respond to those huge swings between ferrous and non-ferrous targets very quickly. The best test would be to get out and use it on actual targets in the ground. However the ground here is covered by two feet of snow so what do you suggest? I give Alan a lot of credit for taking the time to post his video and putting up with all this unwarranted sniping. I have not seen any of your videos on the "correct" way of testing. Where do we find those?

That just goes to show that one should never assume anything.

My bedrooms, kitchen and living room all have wooden floors. Alan could not simply have gotten the audio sound which he did with either machine had theree been rebar or wire mesh under the floor.. Some of us have thousands of hours on metal detectors. Some situations are always predictable....some are not. Alan used a simple yet effective method to make his points. Some people just get too analytical, and it often interferes with problem solving issues. :)

I was trying to make a point supportive to Alans test but not articulate it very well.

Good video ,can't wait to get my AT PRO .My dealer must be on the bottom of the list still does not have any yet. With the cold weather I will not go out and hunt anyway.
