The biggest problem with the AT Pro is....

I have both and at a new site or for regular coinshooting i'd take the Omega over the E-TRAC but for finding masked targets in trash or at hard hunted sites the Omega doesn't even compete with the E-TRAC... at least in medium mineralized ground. Nor is it on par with the V3... but the Omega is a good machine for casual hunting, maybe the best.

I think the AT Pro is a logical step up for the ACE users that have gotten hooked on MDing as well as a "multi featured" MD for the ones that have been at it longer. The Pro offers the standard and pro modes to let you work your way to different levels as you desire. Being introduced to MDing thru the more affordable ACE series and now getting a reasonably priced feature loaded machine is a great option to the $1000+ detectors and should be a good deal for many. And in the end its always more operator than machine.
