THE BEGINNERS GUIDE TO GET STARTED WITH THE CTX3030

WELL BY NOW
we all should be running ok 4 the most !! as long as we understand what each setting does, the best 4 what we are hunting for.

doing some testing in FC seems to be ok 4 coins. but wen looking 4 relic and iron treasures a HT In target separation setting

will id them iron targets better!! this happen to slip by me and while doing some testing on some iron targets notice there ids

were off and there location. so dont get fooled like me, and run throw some tests your self ,and see!! this is another reason to use

a different mode to check and make sure!!

good hunting

HAVE A PLAY AROUND

with modes / patterns after some time testing you should have 5 modes that will work any time and place. try all different patterns and tones

that the CTX has many ways to setup and, to get the most out of your detector . i pay att. to every signal and targets in the ground to get a

game plan. if you dont get it the first time , keep tweeking till you find a general setting that works!! try the different tones find a place for 35 ferrous

50 cond. tones and all the others. you have the tools so use them!!

good hunting minelabbob

AGAIN USEING THE TEST PATTERN

set one mode FC and the other useing the HT to double check fast and deep off in both modes. i also will run the HT MODE in all-metal !

to check 4 iron and most times it will id them nails. wen in all-metal set your VOL. LIMIT DOWN TO 8-10 so all that iron tones dont make you nuts.!!

the next pattern i use in mineralised ground ( MINZ--35) 35 F tones fast on G-COIN sizing and listen 4 the high tone get them ears trained !!

double check with test pattern HT. I WORKED THESE MODES today and no iron was recovered even them iffy ones double check in test pattern.

most FBS detectors work better wen patterns are open-up , but you can tweek to your sites !! i will cover more on MODES / PATTERNS as we move

on. some of them tones take some getting use to , but give them a try here and there

WHAT EVER PATTERN
you run , try to keep an open pattern at the bottom, and P-2 bottom right blocked to check with the detect button MODE 2 run a HT/GC TO

check 4 iron !! wen you find a good signal with some depth run through some modes to see if your getting a good clean tone and adjust if

needed. most times your test garden will help but do a double check wen you get a target out in the field. one key to finding coins in a iron(nail)

area is to switch to NORMAL TONES and go slow. your CTX will recover fast and help find them coins next to nail and other iron junk!!

over the last week i have been going over some of them trash areas with this setup and have pulled over 10 wheats and 2 silver in a spot i

believed to be cleaned out. just think about some of them spots were you have been and go try again with a ALL-METAL SETUP with

NORMAL TONES and move slow !! it is hard to believe that we all have missed some coins because of haveing to mush DISC. or the wrong

tones 4 that spot

WELL BOYS & GIRLS

the season is winding down now. hope this blog help a little an we found many coins. if not dont worry still many more years ahead. we covered allot and now

time to put it all together. as an experance user i have found the dirty30 likes open pattern at the bottom and moveing the coil slow will find the treasure !! power

up wen the ground is clean and power down wen its TRASHY. i have found the test pattern to be a sure winner but be careful with FC it can make you dig many

iron psc. but by dubble checking with GC/HT you will tell.

good luck and happy hunting from all of us !!!

please explain the sensitivity setting again. For some reason I have missed this and still use the machine but wonder how much Iam missing.
thanks

I am in electronics and would like to add to the comment no 2 detectors are the same.
These detectors are digital so the difference would not be noticeable.
This is a very high tech machine using very precise digital electronics and very powerful processor
that utilize software for making decisions using very high level math processing multiple frequencies
at the same time in a blink of an eye.

The analog signal is converted by a analog to digital chip making the analog signal into a digital signal
and doing this in a very high precision high resolution then once the analog info is digitized the computer
will process that information digitally so the variation is kept to such a small variation that all the detectors
in production will be so close that any difference will not be noticeable. That's the beauty of digital processing.

New to the CTX 3030 world but learning to love it. Do you guys have any mode setups to use for beginners besides the traditional one that come with the CTX setup?

Well, the bad winter weather is over. Have classed begun again? :)

.

MOST OF MY WORK IS DONE HERE

pm me with any questions you may have and i will be happy to help , if i can

thanks and good hunting
