Tesoro Golden uMax ???

I already have 5 Tesoro's -
Cortes
Tejon
Cibola
Babdido-II
Silver uMax
Compadre
Wait a second, that's 6, just realized for some reason that 5 was stuck in my head:blink:
Anyway, at times I wonder what will be my next Tesoro. I'm all fine with single tone audio, but sometimes all the reading on the Golden pokes my interest and is banging around the top of the list for the next Tesoro. Now if something was to happen with one that I currently have, I would want to replace it with another of the same.
I also wonder, how long should I hang on waiting for Tesoro to hit the market with a new detector. Well I'm still hanging, may hang for some time, but there will be a day I may break, then it's whatever is at the top at the time, and the Golden been bouncing up and down around the top.
The V, although I have the Cibola (preset GB), sounds like a nice machine also.
Not 5, 6! hummm - I dunno:shrug:

n/t

Well, after about 8 hours use,I must say I do not like the auto detune pinpointing,is something Iv,e been doing 30 years.. the auto detune denies me all the data I would use to determine size&shape of target,so is a feature I would prefer not to have...seems to null out over target,So no different than motion disc but no disc so Like using an older machine(IE VLF/TR,Or GEB Disc)so is throwback feature.
Kansas ground is very tolerant so No need for GB,but I understand there is a trimpot inside of case for GB,which is Nice feature.
I can understand a 8/9 coil may go deeper than 8"round coil but not as versatile in trashy areas.
I cannot yet say as to depth but For Me depth has never been as important as the ability to seperate targets.
Iv,e found dimes at 10-11" with several different detectors. but haven.t learned the goldens voice but will keep trying,It is an amazingly lite detector and a pleasure to use Except for the PP.
Happy Hunting,Mont

Hey, You oughta have a Royal Sabre that gets close to mimicing the Golden, with a few adjustments, and then just think how easy and interesting it would be to have a Golden and be able to adjust things even more-talk about dreaming!:stars:

well i had a golden and was a great machine i listened to all the tones and it found a lot of coins for me but as far as depth the silver i had would go way beyond and tried a 12 x 10 coil on the golden as well and actually changed some of the toning it seemed like but if you keep it stock and basicly do parks or tot lots a sweet machine for sure!

Hi Do you have a question to help?I wonder what the setting for the red square in trimpotlar? Do you help? thanks

I'm pretty sure at this point I'll get another one.
The DFX/Bigfoot combo works ok, and I like being able to visually id the little stuff better, but the ease of use of the Golden's knobs and switches is a definite plus.

The Ground Balance is a big feature for me ....It turns a good machine into a great machine ....I think that the G.B. is one of the main features that makes the Vaquero so appealing to me .... A Vaquero with additional tones would be the ultimate for me ...Jim

Ive always said the Vaquero with tones and notch would be perfect. It could be called the Golden Ultra, maybe.

Tesoro seems not to hear.

They want you to buy 3-4 of there machines that have different features. Instead of having one machine with them all. Business move?
