The ATpro will be a good detector......I will use it in brackish water for the Iron break thru control and the fact that it has DD.....will it be as deep as Infinuim NO...but....I believe it will let you snag the goodies out of Iron....which will come down to the operator tweaking settings for the site... in deep sand or over burden....i think it may well hold its own against detectors costing much MORE....in the old days we did not have much of a choice and we made VLF's work in the salt......I have seen Garretts walk the dog on some SO called... better relic machines....In medium to HOT ground....So if.. A ...you have a Hot Garrett and KNOW how to use it ....you can leave some jaws hanging on the Floor....timing and knowing your gear is part of the CLICK.....No rain for 2 months we have salt water intrusion......use a pulse if dead serious....scouting after 2-3 days of rain... lowers.... salt content....On the islands it is always salty...does not mean... that this unit can not scout out... the good spots to bring back the heavy artillery....who knows it may just hold its own...the excal are not the deepest they are just so easy to use a CAVEMAN (own 4) could find something with it....CZ is deeper ...Pulse will hurt you...Just the way I see it today... that may change! Yes... I do have Mine ordered....AT pro and hope they knock every ones socks off....I am sick and tired of 1700 dollar machines....it would be nice to have a machine that makes it fun again...& kicks tail....
Well we really dont know what the AT pro will do ....I hope my self that it works in salt water .....I really want one for that reason,I hunt in Florida where most of the water is salt water....I do have a v3 and looking for another beach detector,,Why????Because i dont want to leave a 1500 dollar detector in the car or heat.....Please dont get me wrong Garrett has always made top of the line detectors and i have owned at least 8 of them...I like others wold like to know if it will hunt in salt water.......
Jim has the rite idea-ENJOY METAL DETECTING. I myself plan on enjoying the AT Pro where ever I use it. I currently use my only machine an, ACE 250, and thru info & help have managed to ENJOY it-even on Atlantic Ocean beaches!!
