Somebody at Garrett finally listened. New AT PRO operates at 15 khz. WHOOPEE!! PlUS.

Now we're talking! It's about time. Now it needs to be fast and deep. Can't wait to see it in action.

It has all the same price points.....should be around $594.95 ish for customers. I think that was the same as the CX PLUS was.

Only difference is no true all metal mode it appears...wish it did.

Alan

It's possible that with the expanded iron zone that they thought a true all metal wasn't needed? Especially with the Pro audio mode.

Very possible Kenny...

Alan

I agree with khouse, why would you need it.? plus you can order waterproof headphones for the AT pro.I think Garrett just revolutionized metal detectors again

3.3 pounds! Most water machines come in over 5 pounds. It's going to be great to first hit the tot lots, move to the sand beach then jump in the water with the same machine! How cool is that?

I think everyone knows an all metal mode is deeper....I think Garrett will reserve this type model with an all metal mode for a future detector, possibly a new prospecting machine.

Alan

And only uses 4 AA batteries!

They have done themselves proud Bill. I think it will be a very popular unit. It seems to be comparible with the Teknetics Omega, but better built. The new audio is a terrific idea. It looks pretty flash too!
Mick Evans.

I grew up owning Garrett, last being a Gti2500. If it can compete with the other brands out there, handle mineralized ground
I would be really tempted to get a Garrett again, especially as a shallow freshwater machine, a great alternative to the Tesoro TigerShark ,
Fisher 1280, Detectorpro units.

I think this AT is going to be a real door buster. Old Charles wrapped up a lot of goodies in one neat package.
