Somebody at Garrett finally listened. New AT PRO operates at 15 khz. WHOOPEE!! PlUS.

somebody hand me a rag. gotta wipe the drool off of my computor screen. looks like the november rent payment is going to be late that month. there goes my 799 credit rating.

Been expecting some new offerings from Garrett, Now I'm scared, first ACE 350 now AT PRO, just thinking about what Garrett will throw at us next!!!!! Have to start saving up. Decisions, decisions

I'm wondering about the nugget hunting aspect of the detector; does it have a true all-metal mode? If it does, I hope that Garrett did away with that gawdawful slow autotune.. it's a nightmare when hunting bad ground. I will say, however, that there have been detectors that I've tried which had super sensitive disc. modes that were the equal of the AM mode; maybe this detector is the same. Right now things are becoming rather dicey though.. will Garrett be coming out with an even higher end detector that sports the waterproof case? Hate to buy and then be slapping my forehead. As it is, I think that they have a winner and you'll quite possibly be seeing a number of water detectors up for sale in the near future. I've been waiting for years to see a manufacturer come out with an environmentally sealed unit that's also fully featured. Most, if not all, detectors sporting a waterproof case are rather feature limited and heavy pigs. I hope to do a fair amount of freshwater coin/jewelry hunting this winter/spring and a detector like this new Garrett looks like just the ticket. ..Willy.

If it has good depth and fast recovery speed and is stable around EMI, it may be the detector a lot of folks have been waiting for.

It has a lot going for it right of the bat-------- waterproof, 15khz , light weight and a DD coil.

We shall see. I predict Garrett may have a winner here !!

I was wondering if it was waterproof since it has the "AT" designation. Now this is a cool machine! Now I'll just need one detector!

I have never been excited about any of the Garrett machines but this one is something. Being waterproof is icing on the cake. I will definitely make sure to keep the AT in stock. The new DD coil will be a big plus also and seems to be really sensitive on the Ace 350. Good hunting everyone and be safe in the field.

Garrett is keeping the competition on its toes.
I had thought about getting the Ace 350 but now.........
I think it is obvious that we won't be able to use the Ace 250
coils on this new AT Pro,.....if its operating at 15 khz.

Yes! It's submersible to 10 feet! Plus 15 kHz will hit small gold! I can't wait to get one so I can use just one machine for everything! I really think this AT Pro will capture the mid and upper range market. Soon Charles will have to strap on his tool belt and start building yet another factory!

Here is another plus for some of us. Well maybe most of us? My wife said after looking at my machines. "Tell me why does anyone need 4 metal detectors?"
Translated - Why are you spending all that money! But honey one machine is for under water. One is for harsh ground. The other one is for tot lots. The other one is a back up machine. Now she will think I'm a hero by having just one machine! Because I'll hide my back up machines in the garage!!

Hide your other machines in the Garage? Ok but be careful.
The last time I put my extra machine in storage I accidentally locked my
girlfriend in there too. I didn't realize she was missing for three days!

I would think that possibly the 150 would be phased out? 250, 350 and AT Pro. Three great price points and machines. I just don't know how Garrett can top the AT Pro?

I just looked all over the Garrett Website but couldn't find any mention of it. If you have a link to info about could you please post it?

Thanks
