So what's up with the Cazador?

I think that photo sven posted is fake. A piece of gold that big would weigh a whole lot and that guy doesn't look like he's exerting himself too much.

My thoughts exactly. I believe I remember that gold is significantly heavier than lead, and a piece of lead that large would weigh much more than an engine block. Has to be fake.

Well I just pre ordered a $229 fisher f22 that's weather proof, uses only 2 as battires, has a big 9" eggy shaped concentric coil. That will hold me over for a bit till the Caz comes out

Could be, it's just one of the nuggets they find in Oz. They do have porus nuggets over there.

A whole lot more from Oz

It's a replica of the Welcome Stranger nugget, there were a few made. As well as replicas of the Hand Of Faith nugget.

The first pic is fake.

But as both the Welcome Stranger and Hand Of Faith were found near the surface... I'm sure the Cazador would have hit them without any worries.... If the Cazador were true that is.

As a few other have mentioned if those gold nuggets had been the real deal you would have trouble lifting them up,the 2nd image the guy does not look as if he is struggling with that weight, almost certain a fake and also 100% certain not found with a Cazador,we all live in hope of finding the real deal of course.

wonder how many people with a VLF have not dug or pulled out that overload signal out in the bush and so they are still out there

I live 45 mins from a big river with alluvial gold and the but is most of the river is on private land and people don't let prospectors on, and all the public land has been flogged not sure if there is any detectable bits out there have been a few times with no result, doesn't mean it's not there but finding the patch that's the hard part.

there is still plenty of gold left in Australia I am sure but it's a whole new ball game and just like park hunting the right tools are so very important and to do bush gold hunting costs a fair bit more than park hunting.

but never say never right :poke:

I wonder if it will have a screen.

I'm really curious to see how the new machine will turn out in the end. I'm not expecting any kind of miracle machine as they do not exist, but it will be interesting to see what the next generation of Tesoros looks like.

While your wondering if it will have a screen......................there are lots of us who are wondering if there will ever be one!!!

I would feel safe wagering any impatient pseudo Tesoro fan that there will be. How about the cost of the new detector? Whatever it may be.

If the Caz is going to be all that, than the price might turn a bunch of eager buyers off with a Tesoro budget. Better start putting $$ into a Minelab budget and use it to buy the Caz.
Tesoro has to start making money some time.................................make up for all the free out of warranty repairs all these years to non original owners.................

yes Sven. but, tesoro is not as big as minelab or sony. so having a decent machine for a reasonable price and sell a lot of them, will probably make them good money. as opposed to a high priced one that sales will be slow. if it will be under 8 or 9 hundred and a good all round waterproof unit to give the ATpro a good run, as people will pay the extra for the warranty. it will probably do good. but a 18 hundred or 2 thousand dollar one may not and they will be sitting on them. better to sell 100 things and make 2 dollars on each, than sell 10 things and make 6 dollars on each. again, just common business sense. but, my college was the naval training center at san diego. so, what do i know. haha maybe thats where this Gifford boy who is in charge should have gone.

I'm sure it will be a good machine for many, for the money, when it comes out.

Just another long thread as folks just can't get the Caz out of their heads.

Yes, quite interesting that the legend of "Cazador " lives on while it is yet to exist. Go figure!!
