Is it still ago......has it been shelved..........will it be delayed again? Wish Tesoro would just make a simple statement as to it's release date or..........anything!!

I'm with you.

Not waiting, getting mine directly from China..................they got the goods............

Gotta wonder.

Everyone seems to be assuming that the naming of the new Tesoro machine came at the end of the development of the new detector.

What if it came about in the beginning of the design phase, or even mid-stream? We might not see the new machine until the end of the year, or even 2016.

Just a thought, for what its worth.

well, as you have probably seen on here. when that Nathan guy comes on here, he says absolutely nothing about it and he is running the show. he probably does not even know himself. so i doubt anyone on here will. one member suggested it as being "vaporware" and it seems to be the case. maybe the technology in it is the same as another companies. so its in the hands of the courts and thats the reason not one thing is being said. surely tesoro could say something by now. like if its going to be waterproof, have a screen display, a pi or vlf, etc. without giving away any trade secrets that will be found out anyhow when or if it does come out. the big wig comes on here rarely, says nothing about it. his last post sounded like a drunkin rant more than anything. comparing tesoro, a small company, with sony. it is actually kinda sad. sony probably makes more money in one year than tesoro has ever made since they have been around. i use my vaquero and am happy with it for now. but when i will want another machine. i will probably look at another brand because of this whole ordeal.

It's 3 new machines they are coming out with if I remember right, brand new technology is what they said.
I talked to Rusty a few weeks ago, he said the new machines are definitly coming, can't rush quality.
I like the new coil that was just released, can't wait to see what comes next!

It does seem odd that Rusty seems to provide more in-direct information about products that what the companies managment provide, does seem very odd i must admit.

What I wrote is old news, tesoro announced this a year ago. It was just forgotten.

i guess everyone assumed it because that would have been a common business sense thing to do.

trade secrets or not it will be out when its out ! even though I don't own a Tesoro anymore I am still waiting for the cazador . Once it hits the market I would bet it will be a rebuild of the Golden and Outlaw combined with four tones and waterproof with a DD coil :detecting:

Golden and Outlaw combined, I would get in line for that one. I have a new tone Golden and like it. Would be nice to have ground balance, and some of the features the outlaw has.

thump 7 ..............you said Tesoro was going to introduce 3 new detectors......WOW I missed that one...I thought only the Cazador was coming out. So really what's going on?

they / it will just appear on Tesoro's website one day like the new coils did and everyone will go oh dear that's not what I was expecting or I don't want that or I like those but don't want to pay that much, and a whole new sarga will start. :nopity:

funny people detectorists I know I am one :poke:

then the fun will begin :punch:

There will never be a Cazador. Tesoro are finished for good, and are only sitting on current plastic molds, components and old glory. Even the new coil is the old coil.

Why do people still have it in their head that this company will ever produce a true new detector. They won't.

Finito...

A new P I machine is just what Tesoro.......does not need. They are long long overdue for an effective Target ID machine to stay competative in the industry. Basically their whole line up of detectors are way too old and outdated. They are trying to sell a "486" computer in 2015....good luck!

I will bet anyone a buffalo nickle ( no date) the next detector Tesoro introduces will. Be a PI. Any takers?

It will not be a PI.
The Sand Shark is a nice entry level PI machine for sand and surf for which it was intended.
It was once said by a former Tesoro employee that Tesoro seriously needs to put out a new PI but doesn't have the ability
to produce an advanced machine. The Sand Shark is an old basic PI design.
There is not a huge market for PI's as most are specilaity detectors without discrimination capabilties . And folks won't take the time to learn how to use them.
VLF's are the cash crop.
