Six days detecting at four beaches

I used my Deus 2 with 13" coil, WSA II XL headphones and puck mounted on a simplex upper and lower rod with the 1.1 update. First time using this setup with my custom settings and the WSA II XL headphones are awesome, I can really pickup the sounds I don't want to dig (bottle caps, iron junk). I now have the confidence to walk away from the iffy signals. I credit that to the combination of settings, 1.1 update and the WSA II XL headphones. I detected six days at four local beaches near me for 3-4 hours per day. Pic's show everything dug each day and then all the jewelry, lots of rings, pendants, earrings, bracelet and then all the good stuff, 3- 925 silver rings, 1- 925 silver necklace, 2 - Pandora rings and 1 10K class ring.

Thats an interesting setup with the simplex upper and lower. Ive seen the lower carbon fiber used but not the upper rod as well. How did you mount the puck and why not just use the xp upper shaft curious to know?
I don’t know what beach you are at but its been in the feels like 100+ degrees here already and no relief in the near future. Too hot for xl headphones lol

The full price of $1400 isn’t so bad as some people think lol.
Im still trying to figure out how you mounted the xp mounting bracket onto the simplex shaft. Im sure it didn’t just screw or clip on.

I dont know if your familiar with the Simplex, one screw to remove the control box and the mounting bracket fits right into the handle. I drilled two holes and used the two screws that came with the bracket. The front top of the handle is left with a opening which I just covered with duct tape.

Huh thats a nice set up.
I suppose you can do with just one set of headphones. Both my remote and puck are paired to my wsa II headset. I use them both as master depending which one i feel like using.

You know at first I didn't like the 13" coil, I thought it was no different then my 11" coil, but the more I use it the more I like it ( coverage is awesome). That also goes for the WSA II headphones they slide forward off my head at times, but I hear everything more clearly with them compared with the back phones ( Until the weather gets to hot to wear them). I went again to the same local beach yesterday and today. Yesterday I found Apple air pods in the charging case, a single Sony ear pod, a copper bracelet, a hoop earring, small pendant and a really nice 925 ring. As I'm leaving the beach I see that the 15 volley ball courts are filled with players and spectators in and around the courts. I had to go back today and I found some good stuff, 2 pair of sunglasses, 2 rings, 2 toe rings, 1 pendant and 2 earrings 1 is 925. also check out pics, I have never seen a ring marked brass that's a first for me. I have nothing but praise for the Deus 2, so light and set up is quick and easy once you understand how to navigate the menu. Xp really did knock it out of the park, in my opinion.

Good job, nice digs. Are your gloves water proof? If so where did you get them?
