Rusty nails ID as coins.....

those that are still learning the tones, here is example 1.. deep rusted out crown caps will give a low tone in Conduct but a high tone in Ferrous/ 2.. deep bent nails will give a low tone in Ferrous but a high tone in Conduct. We are talking about coin hunting not button hunting (CC), so if you get a high tone in both we dig. I will never say I don't get fool by rusted out iron junk because I do but not as much when I first got the Explorer 4 years ago.

Keep reading your screen and guys like me will dig everything your screen said was not good enough. I look at the meter for fun sometimes and think of people like you and I know ##### well you would be in a panic. take a couple years would ya and get up to speed.
BTW back buttons, programs and silly things like that aren't needed if you know what you're doing.

and the day I make it more I will quit and go back to deep sea fishing in my 20'Grady White. Went out with another Explorer buddy Sunday that hunts in smartscreen -14 and I have beat him in silver count this last year but Sunday he got 6 and me zero so you see I am human and if you can find more than me thats great because my treasure in wait for me with the Lord.

there are times when you can find something in a program that you won't get a peep on in IM-16
this is based on my experience and some tests
so, i disagree

Well, I seem to have the opposite effect when I try useing different programs checking targets I get choped up or scratchy signals BUT when I switch to IM -16 or 14 I pick it up clear as a Bell .Frank

i found that IM-14 is better in clean ground
and a program better in trash

in the detector can tell a hint of a coin much quicker and better then my human ears, when you have it wide open in a trashy site the targets are coming and going so fast like the sound of my 61 corvette and it's full racing cam.

with the IM screen opened up. in fact, the processor won't even make a coin sound at all sometimes in trash unless i turn a program on.
this detector sure can do many things.
that's what makes it so great.
