Question about Silver Umax iron discrimination.

This post is absolutely right! I use the Silver Umax every day. I hunted a sidewalk tearup with the DFX and then Tejon and then then Silver Umax. I went over the same spot over and over - found some coins with each detector. The Silver Umax was the most stable of the three - but it was still chattering a bit. I reduced the power down to 6-7 and what do you know? 3 more shallow indian heads at 2" - that I certainly missed because I was running too hot and hitting the deep iron. I think tesoro's silver series of detectors is hard to beat.

I ran a Cortes last 2 days and ended up running it's sensitivity at 7. I believe the Cortes is 10 kHz and the Silver uMax is 10.6 kHz.
The area I was detecting, sensitivity at 7 ran the most stable going up the scale.
I'm wondering how many using the Tesoro 10 kHz machines end up running the sensitivity around the "7" range.
I have the Tejon, Cibola, and now the Cortes. All these posts about the Silver is getting me to thinking about adding the Silver uMax too, It just sounds like a real fun little machine - and effective too. There are some days I feel like using a machine of simplicity - but it must work well enough which it sounds like the Silver uMax is up to the task.

The Cibola hits a target so tight and spot on, I really don't use the pinpoint button. I forget about it too. That's nice -
