This is the cheapest tracking mount. Actually a version of this was my first tracking mount years ago. They don't make these anymore. I wish they did. Fantastic for mounting a camera. Camera's with a large enough zoom lens do pretty good on planets and moon. 150-400 mm size.
You would be disappointed by anytthing less.
Without large enough aperture/diameter of the tube. And junk eyepieces. The view is terrible.
Without tracking. You don't have enough time to show others before the Earth rotates away from objects your viewing. Sadly this gets way more expensive than detecting. Eyepieces I'd love to have can reach over a grand each. I have a few that averaged around a couple hundred apiece.
You maybe able to find these on eBay or Astromart.

Yeah I might have done this before to you. Sorry. No apologies brother……..its all good.
Too many hobbies and not enough money. I guess im not looking at the planets for $200 lolWoW Ronstar.
You've got a lot of interference around that location. And a good reason there's absolutely good targets others missed.
Your idea of running 4khz maybe the only option at the worst spot.
Sorry I got a bit off subject.
I have toooo many darn hobbies and anxious to share information. Again.
I'm sorry about that.
Try looking for a broken Meade ETX 125.Too many hobbies and not enough money. I guess im not looking at the planets for $200 lol
Oh and for any that claim Fully functional.Try looking for a broken Meade ETX 125.
Your looking for one with the tracking drive not working. Has a Very Good OTA,, Optical Tube Assembly. After removing the scope from the mounting arms. The OTA has two 1/4×20 bolt holes on it's bottom. You can mount it on most any sturdy tripod. I use an old heavy VHS camcorder tripod.
Later you can save up and buy a tracking mount tripod assembly.
That 125mm OTA is an Excellent scope.
Fantastic for birding. Great optics.
I've taken pictures of ships and boats miles out with mine. Still one of my favorite go-to scopes.
Small and easy to set up.
I believe you'll be very happy with this as a great starter scope. I get more use out of this than my big scopes
A short video setting one up.
This is a fully operational one.
ETX website. Anything you ever wanted to know about the ETX series. They made 60,70,80,mm refractor series. Most of these never broke and can be fully functional in your price range.
And maks in 90,105 and 125 mm.
These are a reflected folded image path.
Giving much higher powers over the refractors.
http://www.weasner.com/etx/menu.html
60 mm for sale. A rather small scope. But you'll still get great images. The diameter of the OTA determines how much light it gathers. Not so important for bird watching and occasional peaks at the moon and bright planets. But for most everything in space a larger diameter tube is vital.
The 125 gives nice views of Jupiter and Saturn.
Again a good eyepiece set makes any telescope better. Most of these come with an eyepiece or two to get ya going. Let me know what ya tink.

Looking at the whole area, it seems as if the place would be saturated with EMI. That EMI can be coming from a number of places. Does the EMI lessen at all or is it consistent no matter what time you hunt? The pic is of the TV station. Just to the N (you’re looking S) about 50-100 yards is a flat lawn area which used to be a baseball field a long time ago, no EMI. To the W is the old Arboretum, EMI is only close to the building. The TV station has a tower two miles (crow flys) SE of the station. Distance from TV to the EMI Hell Zone is maybe 200 yards NW. There is that FM radio station on the top floor of the AdBldg which is somewhat middle of the building, I do not know where their antenna is located.
ThanksI wish you well in the hurricane.
I keep a couple car batteries in the garage on trickle charger incase of storm. Up here on lake Erie we get hit hard at times. I also have a 500 watt inverter to power the WiFi and router for a day or two. Longer if you only use a couple hours a day.
Home Depot has a nice 100 watt solar panel set to charge those batteries back up.

Little orange pin with star is abouts where i am so doesn’t looks so good right now.
Might not have a roof over my head so hobby stuff is the least of my worries at the moment.
Thank youPrayers DigDog.
I'm learning different things that now effects metal detectors , didn't have to worry about EMI' s 10 years ago , things are changing, thanks for all the helpful information from yall.Your welcome.
I love teaching it.
For an example.
Take your AM radio. Tune it to the bottom of the band. Around 550. With no stations to be heard.
Your TV remote which is a UV light transmitter.
The LED is the UV light transmitter to send signals to your TV or stereo. Hold your AM radio about a foot from the remote. Now push any button on the remote. You will hear the remote giving a series of beeps. The Short wires going to the led act as an antenna and radiates the pulses going to the led.
EMI is Everywhere.
Try turning the radio and a little further away.
You'll see the AM radio is directional.
Another interesting thing.
Looking at the remotes led. You can't see the light.
Look at it with your phones camera. Depending on how well your camera filters UV light. You should be able to see the light pulses it's transmitting.
Older digital cameras are more sensitive to UV light.
Try it. Let me know.
