Problems loggin in to Xchange 2

I gotcha Kin. Just wanted Minelab to confirm the problem was on their end.
I knew if others were having this problem, after consulting with my computer repairman,
I didn't want them to disrupt the normal operation of their computer trying to fix a problem
that belongs to Minelab. Believe me, at 63 you learn patience. If you don't you stroke out.

Had my best day total money wise Sunday at my park I go to. Not finding many old coins
and a piece of jewelry now and then but I have learned that when you find about all your
coins at 3 to 4 inches, and there is a proverbial layer of them, that you gotta clean that up
and come back with the big foot to get the deep older coins. This place is huge and houses
4 baseball fields, 2 tennis courts, and a football field so I got my work cut out for me.

Hear you on patience, glenn. It took me many decades to learn that.

That sounds like one of those spots you hope for. I've only had 1 such spot and it took me many fun hunts over several months to get it to where I think its mostly cleaned up. Pulled hundreds in clad from 4 playing fields in an old (by my standards anyway) school/park complex. But I am still looking forward to going back there with my 17" and trying to pull more deep stuff (tied my oldest coin record there twice; including a 1900 Barber half on an angle at 12+"....on the stock coil!). Keep racking up those findpoints and youll Really have some fun when ExC2 comes back online.

(From Norweay)

Something has been changed. I don't get the Message "You need to be connected to the Internet to sign in." any more.
Now I got the Message: "Invalid user name or password." even that I have just reset my password.

I got that message too. Don't change anything. I did and ended up doing it twice ending up with same password
and user name. When it gets fixed, your user name and password will work.

UPDATE[/b

3:19 pm yesterday-----Got an email from Bill Sterling, Global Products Manager with Minelab in Australia, that they were aware of the problem and hoped to have it back
up and running within the next 24 hours. That was 3:19 pm eastern usa time.

4:15 pm yesterday-----Got an email from Philip Beck, Minelab Australia, stating that they had definitely uncovered the issue causing the problem and "believe" they would
have it resolved this week. Again, 4:15 pm eastern usa time.

Sweet! I'm back in too.
Thanks to everyone for your efforts and letting everyone know!

Gabby,
I'm no longer having any AVG issues now. However, when I did, I manually pulled up the history
and found 2 on there that concerned the Xchange2 program, allowed them to run but didn't run
AVG any more after the 3rd time I had to do that. I would suggest trying to log in and see if you
get the maps because they are fixed now but if you can''t get in, go in to AVG and allow it to run
as that possibly could still be blocking if you still can't get in.
Thanks
Glenn

Still have problem. Should I reset my pass word?

Not sure where you are and if you tried since they have fixed.
If so, again, the virus protection on your computer may have Minelab
and Xchange2 blocked. You may have to go into your virus "vault"
and enable that program to run

I'm in Norway and I try to reinstall the program from the CD. Now I'm waitig for an e-mail to activate it.
It's now 6 hour since I reinstall it but still no e-mail.
I'm startet to get p..... of. Seems like everybody got the program working but me!

I'm back on traks now.
Thanks to all of the Minelab People and mebers who solve this problem. Togeher we will solve all kind of truble in the future!

regards

Tore from Norway

I started this post. It took 10 days for me to get back on line. If people are still having
problems getting in, I am wondering when it is going to happen again. It was also 10
days before I could get a response from them. Their customer service lady couldn't
tell me anything. I'd rather have an Edsel!!!!!!!

I had problems logging in to the maps features of excange2 in the last few days too. I have since created a new exchange 2 username and password. Your maps and programs are stored locally on your computer so everything just carries over to the new username.

Changing user names and passwords is not a fix. They have the program up and going. It seems to affect
different areas of the country and the world. I reset password and username and it didn't help at all. That was
about the 3rd day into the problem. After 10 days they brought the southeast back up and most of the northeast.
I in fact re-requested my old user name and password and got it back and about 5 days later I got back on line when
they brought my area up. If you would go back to page 1 and start reading it would be obvious that it has affected
different parts of the country, and different parts of the world, at different times.
