Problems loggin in to Xchange 2

Anybody having problems logging in to exchange 2 today? I have had the same
password and user name since June when I got my Safari and it will not let me
in today. I have even re-registered and normally if you already have an account
with the same e-mail address they won't let you re-register but before I did that
I clicked on "forgot password" and was told I would get an e-mail from them and
that still hasn't happened. Makes me wonder if I want to keep both these detectors.

I have no problem logging in. The problem must be on your end.

Jason

It has now been 10 hours since I requested either a new password or register.
I can go on Minelab's Forum and sign in with no problem. I cannot log in to
the Minelab Website or Exchange 2. I have done 2 computer recoveries and
at least 15 sign in requests to Exchange 2 and all I get from their website and
Exchange 2 is "user name or password invalid". I have a written list of every
website that requires user names and passwords and I am putting the same
thing in that I do every day but it will not hook up to google maps. I have checked
to see if I have it blocked by accident or if the firewall is blocking it and neither is the
case. I lastly re-loaded Exchange 2 from my original disk I got back in August. I
did not loose any information or files but still cannot log in to either Minelab or
Exchange 2. Also, neither of my key lock buttons are locked down and I have done
a complete clean up of possible viruses, malware, and spyware and my computer is
clean. I guess there is nothing else to do but give Minelab a couple of days to re-set
my account and by God if they don't I will sell both these detectors and I will never
buy another Minelab product. I had approx. 550 entries not including 7 very good
programs.

Jason, I had to come back and add that what bothers me about this is the fact that
I can't get Minelab's website to accept my sign on so what's the use of trying to fix
Exchange 2 if it is looking more like a problem with my log in with Minelab period.
""Your log in for the website is the same exact thing as it is for Exchange 2.""""
If I could understand it, or if I could point to my computer as the problem, or my
operation of the computer is a problem, then I could fix it but there is no clue as
to what is going on here.

Like I said, I can log in without any problem, so I don't have any advice to offer.

I have the same problem here in Norway. I have tryed to make a new register but I still can't log in.
Looks like the www.exchange2.net is Down.

When I try to log in to the map section of Exchange 2 I got this Message: "You need to be connected to the Internet to sign in." and I am connected to the Internett.

same here last night. obviously a problem on their end. it happens occasionally.

Yep, I got the same error last night too.

Guys,

I have been in constant contact with Melissa in Lisle, Il. who tells me that she has no
answer for my problem, but added, "We have just moved to a new location and I KNOW
"they" are having SERIOUS problems with the internet. You cannot get past her. When
you call in it asks you to punch 1 for "Tech Support". You then get Melissa. You get no
farther. When I ask to speak to a tech specialist to help me get logged in she tells me they
are all busy with correcting the problem. She also added as I said above that the problem
is WIDESPREAD. Why everyone is not impacted I do not know but I do know that the problem
is spreading and my computer repairman said that the problem would have to be on their end.
I have done several viral scans and have come up 3 times with 2 programs in exchange 2 that
are being isolated. I restore them only to get into the www.minelab.com website, then going to
exchange 2, not recognizing that the internet is on, again doing a viral scan and finding the same
2 programs being isolated. My computer repairman told me over the phone Friday that it sounded
to him like the Illinois location is trying to set up an "intercept" for Xchange2 for the U.S. and have
done so without having secure protection while doing so and allowing a virus to infect their program
up there. Thus, when restoration is done on virus scan, you can get the website that is in Australia
because if you look at the "path" it has "au" at the end but when you try to go to the program to log
into google, the path is showing the Ill. location. GO FIGURE. Melissa cannot give me a time when
this will be fixed but says that it will be fixed.

I can't log in either from Canada.
I also get the message:
you need to be connected to the Internet to sign in.

I might try to reinstall exchange as I have had to do this in the past.
It seems that whenever windows does a security update my exchange software gets mangled.
I reinstall it and so far I haven't lost any programs or geo hunts.

After reading the above posts more closely I'm gonna wait to try reinstall exchange.

Sounds like Minelab is having some serious issues with their website.
I wish they would at least post something to say they are having problems.

I have been able to login to minelab.com....mot sure where this server is??
Again a simple notice telling their customers they are having problems with exchange would be appropriate.

glenn, I think the best thing for you is to just wait a bit until ML solves its universal issue and then see if you still have a problem. if you do, hopefully the techs will be available then. and maybe, even better, what ever they do will fix your problem as well. good luck!

I am having the same issues in the UK. I have contacted ML Ireland and they have said its 'work in progress in Australia' so hopefully wont be long

Im having same issue

I received this response from Minelab on facebook.

Thank you for your message and apologies for any inconvenience caused. We are having some issues with our Xchange2 program which we are working on rectifying. Please stay tuned for further updates on this.

KIN TN

THANKS AND I WILL TAKE YOUR ADVICE.

I DO WANT ANYONE WHO IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM TO POST HERE THOUGH
AND ON FACEBOOK. I DON'T HAVE FACEBOOK SO I CAN'T POST THERE.

LIKE GABBY SAID, IF THEY WOULD HAVE JUST POSTED ON THEIR WEBSITE
FRONT PAGE WHERE PEOPLE COULD SEE IT THAT THEY ARE HAVING PROBLEMS
AND YOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET INTO MAPS THEN IT WOULD HAVE
BEEN NICE AS THIS IS THE ONE BIGGEST REASON FOR THE
HUGE PRICE INCREASE OVER THE E-TRAC AS I RECALL.

THANKS GUYS AND THOSE WHO HAVE THIS PROBLEM THAT HAVEN'T POSTED
PLEASE POST HERE AND ON FACEBOOK...MABY A LITTLE PRESSURE FROM THEIR
CUSTOMERS MAY MAKE THEM PRIORITIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS ISSUE.

THANKS
GLENN

From what I have read in this thread, they seem to be taking it very seriously, dedicating most of their tech effort to solving the problem. Crap happens to everyone. Its a measure of a person/company as to how they react to adversity.

I miss Ex2 too, but I still hauled in a bag of coins this weekend out of heavy trash. Itll be back. Patience.

Same problem in Norway.
Got this reply from Minlab
Hi Richard,

Thank you for your e-mail.
We are having some issues with our Xchange2 program at the moment which we are working on rectifying. I apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused. We hope to get this rectified in the next day or so.

Thanks

Timmy
