Hello! Just wanted to let you guys know that Impact is still in development. The product we showed at the trade show in Paris was a prototype. Thank you!

hey Nokta, could you please post a photo of the flyer "Brace for Impact" that was displayed at the show....inquiring minds and all that....

BTW, it looks fantastic! can you tell us what the 'prototype' weighs?

can't wait for some test reports....

Hmm.. What is the bowl of water on the table for? Just say'n. Looks pretty water tight.
Frick'n Cool!:surprised::clapping::clsoedeyes:

Looks like it has a boost (deep) mode.

Interesting that it looks to have a selectable frequency as it shows both "frequency" and "frequency shift", or is it some kind of simultaneous multifrequency machine?

Iron volume and tone break, very nice.

Hello all again... as the product is still in development and things may change during the development process, it would be misleading to give more info guys.
We still have significant amount of work and the release date is still far off at this point. As we progress and get closer to the release, I will definitely share more info.
Thank you for your interest and understanding.

Iron volume and tone break is what I like the most. Hope that doesn't change. Nice job Nokta, you listen to what we want:clapping:

Very nice looking unit. Ergonomics look great and the internal wiring is a nice touch. +1 with the iron volume and tone break as well. Expand the vdi range in the upper numbers to accommodate better target identification and you have a home run! Oh, don't forget the RED back light for us night hunters. Is there a proposed release date?

YES YES YES..... the backlight on the Racer, while much appreciated, can be simply blinding, even when set at the lowest setting.

IF you used an adjustable RED LED BACKLIGHT it would have much better visability when night hunting!

well there goes a bunch of future cash. LOL

So true.....the thing I like by the looks of the shaft on this detector is the cam lock style locks to adjust the length of the shaft and fact they look very similar in the picture to that of the XP Deus. Now listen, not saying or implying anything here just that I like the design if this indeed is similar. Reason being, I had a XP Deus and the shaft system on a Deus to me has never been rivaled by any company in craftsmanship and function. I am surprised even with external cable routing a lot of other companies have not fashioned theirs similar.

I am glad Nokta is doing this system and even though it is in the early stages I hope it comes to fruition for sure.

I agree. I like everything i see about this company.. This new detector will most likely change the way american companies do business. At least i hope so..

Fe Volume, better ergonomics ...I agree with greaser... gonna be some future cash.....gone.

I like most of what I see in the photos. As I follow the thread and comments, I like most of what I hear and the Iron Audio Volume function is one of my more desired features.

As for the discussions about Backlight and night hunting and light color, I have been night hunting desolate ghost towns and other out-of-the-way places from woodsy environments to the bleakness of some deserts, as well as urban locations where it has been allowable to hunt near-to and after dark. I've used many models that had one light intensity to those with a variable level of up to ten settings. I have had a couple of Fisher F19's with the red back-lighted display, too. Personally, I have never really been 'blinded' by a too-bright display back-light, and my personal preference is to have a white light instead of red. Not overly intense, just white.

Since it is "coming soon" I better get unpacked and take care of my move and be ready because I have a feeling this might be my #1 all-purpose Target ID/Tone ID detector.

(I know, some might wonder what keeps me from liking all of what I see? Well, I hope the straight-rod/grip angle is comfortable as it almost looks to have a too-pronounced forward angle. I hope the grip that looks to be plastic isn't too thin and/or slippery. And the first thing I noticed was the 7X11 DD coil's rod-mount point is more towards the rear, like the Makro racer, and not in a much more comfortable, closer-to-center location as found on the Nokta FORS Coin & Relic model.)

Red light is used to preserve night vision. Having an intensity adjustment would solve a brightness issue.
